Could anyone tell me how the hardback Deluxe Edition differs from the paperback version please?

Seems this 20th anniversary hardcover has new re-coloring, few sketches and a new short story. You can check the color difference between the old and new version from link below.

:?

Huh? Killing Joke (the band) have been about since the late 70s. Killing Joke (GN) was originally released in 1988.

I always thought this was the worst graphic noveli've read.

I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who hasn't read it yet but it's about as wrong as can be after the such a great start.

I can't recommend it.

Director Christopher Nolan has mentioned that The Killing Joke served as an influence for the version of the Joker appearing in The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger, who played the Joker, stated in an interview that he was given a copy of The Killing Joke as reference for the role.[18] The film lifted the concept of the Joker trying to drive a well-regarded person insane, as well as the Joker's inconsistent "origin stories".

Makes me consider re-reading it after this information came out.

Bolland recoloured it. He wasn't happy with the original, (which I have a 1st ed of , woot) and apparently 1 change per page and some extras at the end. For this price it's a no brainer though.
