Why would you want a blu ray of a 60's film?

Why wouldn't you?

Movies have been shot on film of a higher res than 1920x1080 since the 1930's :whistling:

Man, I knew that was the scene i'd find. :) It was on 35mm so in theory could look quite good, but really a cheesy B film.

pictures a little soft, but it's the best batman film ever, so it's worth it.

Have to say Ms Newmar had a serious effect on me back then. I won't add the pic of my girlfriend at a fancy dress party a few weeks back to top your bid. I'll hold on the Pfieffer.

always cracks me up when people assume old films will look crap on high def, totally oblivious to the fact that celluloid has always provided far better resolution than any digital camera could hope for.

yes, some old films can look crap, but it's all down to the quality of the remaining master tapes in existence.

and pfeiffer gets my vote.

Final Thoughts

'Batman: The Movie' appears to divide fans of the classic comic book character. Some love the camp appeal and self-reflexive humor, while others hate the lack of darkness and action. I find the film amusing, if a bit overlong (I prefer a quick episode of the TV series), but can certainly understand the haters. Few will disagree with this Blu-ray, however, as it looks terrific and sounds good, too. With a ton of extras, there are many additional hours of fun to be had. If you're at all a fan of 'Batman: The Movie,' this Blu-ray is a no-brainer.

So if you love this movie (as I do - and you need a fix of the original while they argue over rights and pee on everyones firework who wants to see Adam West eps released) its a must have. :)

yeah i think its stilly when people want to know why you would want and old film on bluray.

although some arent even out to buy yet, from the difference you see in some 80s movies from sky movies to sky movies hd channels its an amazing upgrade.

i used to have this, enjoyed the film a lot and it looked great. looks like ill have to rebuy before it goes the way of the transformers animated movie bluray - out of print.

Bought this ages ago as a present for my brother ,Seen it a few times so i wasn't that bothered but he put it on with the commentary from Adam West And Burt Ward . I was hooked , they are so funny you could listen to them without even watching the film , so worth it just for that. The picture is definitly an improvement also .
Hot.

Ah yes, the shark repellent spray

i got the DVD Special Ed. recently in fopp for £3 or so - came with an LED "torch" which projects a batman logo on any surface! Would have loved that as a 7 year old when I saw this in the cinema.

This and the series on TV had great picture quality - made on film and not video - really stood out on Freeview when re-screened recently. The sound surely must be better on Blu-ray too!

POWWWWWWWWWW!
