More great stuff from whizzkid. My kids have this set and love it.

oh my son had this, my mum got it off one of them telly selling channels a couple of years ago, she paid a few bob for it. we never ever set it up ooops

Its absolutely massive and definately worth a tenner, but one of them toys where you have to have a massive spare room to set it up in! either that or spend a day setting it up only to have to take it apart again.

Good if you wanna look like you've bought an ace present!

Is itactually any good or quite cheapo? I am thinking of buying an entry level hornby train set for my 5 yr old lad for christmas but not sure if this is any good and how quickly it goes through batteries or if just better paying more for the hornby set:thinking:

We bought this last year for a similar price from Wilkinsons. It's pretty good for the price, but is cheap plastic and is quite brittle. There is no speed control and when turned on the train will just shoot off - often frustrating our son as it just buckles in his hand and comes off the track.

I'd stick with a Hornby set if you can afford it, but this is great as a (rather large) stocking filler!

Thanks for that. I think I will stick with hornby:thumbsup:
