Just ordered, hot from me, thanks OP!

Ordered one myself, hope they work ok with the official quick charger, I'm sure they will though.

Good find.

These things are rubbish just buy an 8 hour charger with batts for £9.99 or whatever.
Btw quick charging chargers are no good they wear out the batts fast.

I bought 1 of these in black & bad reviews after I had bought it please look at the link below it is the same product. I would pay the extra & get the offical product.

These are awful, they wont last more than a few charges, then they die as fast as unbranded batteries in a digital slr camera.

The official xbox ones I had lasted about 2 years then just stopped, held charge for about 5 seconds. Got a replacement from Game and that didn't work at all! I agree, they are not great. just buy re-chargeable duracells or something.

I did unplug it when it went red etc, and made very sure I wasn't overcharging it!

I bought a starter kit from Argos for £2.99 Which Included:
Play and Charge Kit
Media Remote
Stand

Now that's cheap! :)

I found the official one to be excellent. Mine has lasted almost a year now and has shown little sign of declining.

Just get a basic 8-11 hour charger the quick charge ones wear out the batteries fast and in general quick charging is no good for batts.
Just get an energizer £9-99 one or duracell just stay away from fast chargers.

Aye, you're definitely better off just buying a set of decent rechargeable batteries. These things are rubbish. Even the official one, though much better quality in terms of battery life, still has the drawback of you having to plug the lead into the Xbox which just makes your pad 'mostly' wireless.

got one(not exactly the same) from e-bay couple of days ago £2.59 delivered.

Agreed mate. I've always thought that you'd be as well just buying the wired remote rather than this.

bought one of these, had 2 delivered (accidently) both were absolutely rubbish after about a month! Avoid and agree with an earlier poster, buy some decent rechargable batteries!

The problem with that is you're frequently whipping the battery pack off and back on - and eventually you find your controller just turns off mid-game because the contacts aren't aligned or something's come loose. I've had it with several controllers.

(That said, I did have a tendency to turn the controllers off by partly opening the battery compartment and closing it again which speeds things up a bit but will have been a major contributor to wear and tear on the contacts!)

I much prefer play and charge now - together with mains usb converter, to plug into a convenient socket rather than have a cable trailing across the room. I've one play/charge and 4 controllers so could do with another 1 or 2, but I'll pass on this - it definitely sounds like it'd be better to go with official ones judging by popular opinion 'round here!

I bought two of these last year. One still works perfectly, the other is carp.

Buying another is a risk

What I have never understood is why someone hasn't made an AA caddy for the 360 controller????
I ripped open an old MS battery pack and sure enough all that was inside was a couple of 2100mAh Ni-MH AA's (Sanyo's btw they make the superb Eneloops)
I'm guessing MS have somehow copyrighted/patented the charge/caddy part of the pack but even then that don't normally stop stop some people?!?! Very strange!

Been using similar ones for two years and they have outlasted the officials. All this talk of false economy is nonsense.
#24
I think this is the same as a friend has, and most of us that game/party chat with him mute him if he has the cable plugged in charging while playing as it emits a low humming noise over chat inaudible(sp) to him..
#25
I have the official xbox one and it is rubbish, lasts about 5mins when charged. I don't bother with them anymore - just buy 12 Kodak AA for £1 from Poundland whenever I need them

will this one fit the new xbox controller ? and is it mater the white or black?

I have the official play and charge kit and would highly recommend it to anyone. I am still using the original battery packs after 3.5 years of sustained use and they are still working fine.

Charge them fully, use them fuly, charge them fully, use them fully.

Having the long charge cable is so much more convenient than having to remember to have some batteries already charged up, and so you never need to stop playing, and can just leave it plugged in when you switch off and it will charge the controller fully then power down.

Considering the official play and charge kits were only around £10-12 when I bought it when I got my console I wouldn't bother trying to save a couple of quid on a cheap knock off and get short life battery packs.

The 360 wireless pad that came with my console had the AA caddy on the back - the rechargeable battery pack was something I had to buy as part of the play and charge kit. Maybe things have changed in more recent bundles, as I bought my 360 in 2007.

I'm guessing these are the official ones Official Charge Kit right? Hmm, might as well just buy some rechargeable batts....sayng that I do like official stuff (_;)

Not official.

These are a false economy.
Last time the deal came up i bought 2 sets and they are GARBAGE. Better off sticking to the official ones, or probably even better getting a wall charger and some rechargable AAs

ICE COLD.

Bought my xbox with the official charge kit in 2008 and still works! Would opt for the official IMO but its a deal for someone none the less ..
