  One of the worst films I have seen in a long while! IMO even the effects are poor - aliens feel weightless in their CGI, synthetic mishandling. Good price for the blu though. I own a number of guilty pleasure movies and I am a sucker for sci-fi especially BUT this film is beyond reproach and I advise you not to take a random punt on it if you haven't seen it.

  OK so I just watched this and feel bad for sharing this with the HUKD community.
  Not an awful film but possibly the most cliched, pro-America war film I've seen in a long time.
  Makes Independence Day look like a contemporary art film...

  this is a good action film, it's had no pretensions to be any thing else, it ain't for the art house lot though (also Ill admit it it is very pro American but if you make the film i guess you can choose your country to save the world - us Brits don't complain about bond do we!)

  Got it from zavvi 2 months ago in the triple boxset ( 2012, District 9, Battle LA ) for £9.99. 24hrs later sold out. Ignore the critics as it's an ok sci-fi movie although i agree it's like a US Marine recruitment video!! lol
