  How many different packages are they gonna put out for Battle Royale? I believe this is the 5th version! And what about the 3D blu-ray that the Japan has released?

  It's worth noting that they remastered the movie to create the 3D version, so a much improved version will no doubt arrive in the near future. Existing blu rays from Arrow in UK and Anchor Bay in US aren't that great PQ wise, with the US region locked being slightly brighter thus clearer.

  This edition includes both the 2D and the new 3D version of the film

  So this should be the best quality transfer around, Region A locked mind you.

  It's the Arrow release steelbook so great quality and extras and in a steelbook.....should be quite a good buy at this price!

  I love BR, haven't seen THG film yet but the books were alright, I'd go as far as saying the first one was excellent then going downhill from there.

  got the limited edition boxset when it was about. tempted to buy this as my copy was #11 and was told it could be quite sort after because first 10 went to people involved in the movie. because of this, I'm too scared to even watch it. collectors items are wasted on me

  I can see your point but just read the Hunger Games first. Yes, certain elements seem distinctively derived from BR like the basic story but more specifically, using the birds. What bugs me is that the author lied. I'd be cool if she said "I drew inspiration from this book" but denying its existence is either just a lie or poor research on her part.
