Oh man this Sainsbury's thing is silly. We could go round saying any flipping item is £18 off when you sign up blah blah blah.

What does it matter that you can use this for anything? The point of the OP's post is that you can grab a newly released game for approx £18 cheaper than you can get it anywhere else. You'll find that most vouchers for other online supermarkets can only be used for groceries. Definitely hot for me :D

When did you pre-order at that price, 1914? :p

not really a deal for Battlefield 1 as the £18 discount applies to anything if you sign up and spend £60

Thought I was gonna give some better news on this voucher. After going to Sainsbury's site and checking the games to add instead of shopping. I thought I would have a list to add but there's hardly any other games worth adding.
You could add:
Destiny the collection for both formats but it's £5 more than the cheapest deal out there.
Bioshock collection for xbox only.
And batman telltale games on both but it's about £6 more than the cheapest available.

So...I'm afraid it cold from me as The extra money you pay on a branded shop at sainsbury's will probably negate £10 off this voucher's saving. As well as getting Battlefield for about £4 cheaper elsewhere.

crack on. make sure it's a title that was only released in the last 48hrs though.....because if you haven't worked it out yet, that's the point of this deal.
#12
Also it's not the game you're getting discounted, it's the groceries, you're still spending 40 quid, no matter how it's trying to be justified.
#13
good deal / information imho, especially if you shop there and want to buy the game

heat from me anyway

Decent for my perspective, just do your usual Saturday shop at sainsburys and save a bit of cash if you were going to buy the game anyway. Yes you could do this for any other title but how many people would think to do so? Good idea OP. I already have the game and its excellent, First shooter to properly hook me in years

this deal isn't 24.99 is the biggest complaint, it's battlefield 1 and £17 of shopping for £42. deal should be updated.

Well said.

The only way you could complain about this deal is if you can get it for less than £24.99 OR you and your family dont eat food...
#18
cold. should be £18 off your 1st shop.
#19
Sounds like a deal to me.

It's certainly a deal if you are looking to buy Battlefield and erm, eat. I think that would cover most battlefield fans. Thanks for sharing op - heat added

Great game. The Operations mode in multiplayer is awesome. Reminds me of that mode in Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare, where you have to capture a base and move forward to the next one.

When you click delivery it does your local sburys stock so your point is redundant.

Great deal, thanks OP.
Needed to do my shop, wanted to order Battlefield 1, am a new online customer, saved £15, in effect.

Uncheck the allow substitutes box if worried you'll end up with another game.

If they substitute it (which they won't) you just send it back with the driver. If you know what to buy to get the game cheap it won't cost that much more than doing the shop elsewhere.

Thanks for this OP I didn't know this was going on, no use to me for bf1 as I want the online version of that but perfect for xcom 2 as I'm after the disc version - cheers :)

I'd love to know whom randomly generated that code and allowed the word SEX to slip through the obvious filters ;)
