For 20 cokezone points (which is a couple of fridge packs worth, around a fiver on offer), you can get a voucher for £10 off at the EA store.

When they introduced this, it was a bit pointless because the EA store had very few games that were not overpriced by at least a tenner anyway.

Now though there's a good selection of games at £9.99 or less: better yet, with the code, they are completely free! So, any of the following for 20 cokezone points:

Battlefield 1943 (preorder)
Battlefield 2142
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08
Need for Speed Carbon
Fifa 08
Black and White® 2: Battle of the Gods (Expansion pack)
The Godfather The Game
NBA Live 08
Rail Simulator®
The Lord of the Rings®, The Battle for Middle-earth II, The Rise of the Witch-king
Rugby 08

I've had myself a couple of copies for battlefield 1943 on pre order, for myself and housemate!

An offers page for games under £10 lists most of these, but there are others lurking about the store:

Also if you was actually going to spend 10 pound on a game it would be cheaper to buy the coke and then use the points. So you get the game and coke :)
#3
Zactly :) Hot deal imo!
#4
great deal, gonna get a few as i have about 200 points:D

getting invalid promo code, for carbon???
#5
I should point out that these are all digital download, DRM'd to the hilt. I wouldn't consider spending real money on EA download games, but cokezone points I'm fine with, lol :)

2nd code not working now
#7
I know this is cheeky, but if anyone has any spare codes could you please pass a few on to me (just to get the ea discount) ive managed to build up seven on my own :/

I managed to build up 9, if you click on earn points you can get another 2, but if you also get a friend to sign up you get 20 points so just do that.

just checked my coke zone account, as I've not used it in ages they took 33 points off it in feb 2009. I'd opened the account in nov 2008 when they had the james bond quantum of solace demo download. I still have a few old coke zero point cards from back then but it's not accepting the code.
#10
Done this awhile back when EA store done games for a fiver such as burnout paradise
#11

#13
Hmm, pc direct download only - don't see why there's no 360 stuff on there.
I've got a free code is someone PMs me then.

#15

Whats the problem with it? They play fine (on my laptop) and it was easy to re-download and install when I upgraded to Windows 7.

Yes, DRM is pointless (if 1 copy gets leaked whats the point in protecting the others as its already out there....) but I've not encountered any problems with it.
#17
I've been doing this for quite a while, didn't really see it as a deal, guess I should have posted it :P
EA Store had been doing weekly games for £10/£5 before christmas, all for free (not counting cokezone codes):
Need for Speed Carbon
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Burnout Paradise
Crysis Warhead
Command and Conquer red alert 3 and expansion
Command and Conquer 3 and expansion
Medal of Honor Airborne
Battlefield 2142
had battlefield 1943 on preorder since it first appeared on EA Store

Quite a few others as well. If you use cokezone and like games it's always a good idea to keep track of EA Store.
#18
got about 20-25 points on my cokezone account, its a shame i cant log on though since i keep getting the "Sorry, your country of residence means you can't register" error.
#20
downloading Battlefield 2142 ... thank you ;)

only downside was going outside in the cold to the recycling wheelie bin to get all the bottles id not bothered getting the codes off.
#21
Seems you can get 9 points for free: sign up - 2 points, survey - 5 points, monthly poll - 2 points.

If you recommend a friend then you get 20 points when they build up 10 points of their own - so you might have to actually buy some Coke (laugh) - or at least they will!
#22
is ther ny way of getting the game instad of downloading it? cant really give some a gift and then say download it can i?
lol
#23

You have to register with Coke Zone, at the top click on Spend Points once you have 20.
Click the category 0-20 and go to page 8, then click Get This Now.
Coke Zone will then e-mail you a code and that's the code you enter at the checkout on the EA Store.
:)

Strangest thing happened for me - I added both the Mass effect DLC and BF1943 and when adding my cokezone code it reduced the whole basket to 0 :)

dunnno if it will work for others but was a nice bonus

As an aside I know a few ppl have held back due to EADM being awkward to backup so I have copied my post from other deal which might help

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
While I agree this is not a patch on Steam it is very easy to backup the download files - go to

C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EADM\cache\{ 2299999999 }

(number is different for each user)

inside there u will find the download files for all the games u have on ur pc thru EADM

Now just copy the {} folder off to an external HDD etc

u can then reinstall eadm on a machine and login in - copy back th e data to the same location and restart the proggy - really not much more hassle than doing the same with steam and no need to pay EA

Its not that bad a system - just compared to steam - my biggest bug bear is the lack of patch downloads (it says it has them but never does)

Anyways hopes that helps ppl if they are having issues as this along with the coke points is a nice deal

i'm still getting invalid promo code:C

also how many characters is the code?? mine are 9 characters.
#29
It says invalid code for me too.
I Registered with EA Store, registered with cokezone, added the points, spent 20 points on the £10 off voucher and got the code from them. After adding a game to my basket though, when I input the code, it doesn't accept it.
#30
Excellent, just bought a new PC after many years out of PC gaming, and always fancied BF2142, now I have it for free, thank you very much, H+R left.

You only get 5 shots to download them, beyond that, you are at the mercy of EA customer service.

I believe there's also a 12 month time out, you can download it any time within that period, after that period, you have to pay to extend the period you can download it, so you'd better keep backups!

I've had 3 codes, 1 didn't work. Rang up cokezone CS who said they would investigate and re-issue a new code by email, but that was a couple of weeks ago and nothing yet. Can't expect too much for free tho lol
