You can also get Battlefield 1943 preorder for just £7.75 or 2142 Deluxe for £11.75, or if you can't wait for the postman the discount brings Bad Company 2 digital download preorder down to just £27.

Do people still play this online?
#6
Still not able to buy anythig on their website - keep getting unable to process order when i put in payment details - just silly for a company like EA not to have a site that allows you to pay

The error happens for Paypal. Should be ok for card payments. Was it Paypal that you tried?

This is a very good deal by the way.

It hasn't been replaced yet and started out with ~10,000 servers so I don't see why they wouldn't.

The special forces maps are the best, the vehicles in the BF2 maps are a bit lame.

Actually it says 5 - 15 but doesn't say what's 5 and what's 15 lol

Edit: Ah but when I run EA Download Manager it says 'all update services currently unavailable'

just gotta love what digital downloads can do
#23
I had this years ago and I also got special forces pack recently, they are both brill games and I still play them online. There are ranked servers to I think!
#24
Brilliant, not quite sure where my copy went but I have no problem with paying £3.75 for it again with the add ons.

Cheers.

You can launch it yes, but it's not tied to your steam account, you still need the EA downloader software to play it I think.

I've been emailed a serial number, so am currently in the process of 'acquiring' the battlefield 2 disc and will see if this key works on there so I can uninstall the EA Downloader program.

I play BF2 nearly everyday.

Me too ... and in about 2 hours time I will get my final promotion to Lieutenant General :-D

Love the game and have for the past four years.
#28
Anyone else having problems buying this? Managed to get myself it about an hour ago, but my brother is having no luck :-(
#29
Seems to have gone up to £14.99 to me, the 25% code still works though, making it £11.24

Better than a kick in the teeth still..
#30
anyone else seeing this as £15

This seems to have been the advent calendar offer of the day which is now over. The site is now showing Tiger Woods 08 for £5.
#32
Thanks for this. Already had BF2 but bought for expansions. Nice one op. HEAT!

Edit: Though now it is expired lol cos it's Dec 7. Tigers Woods 08. DOES NOT WANT.

I am waiting for Destruction Derby: Tiger Woods Edition

And I did it ... 1,440 hours of my life on BF2 to become a 3 Star General, 4 years after I started playing

Video of my promotion HERE (No sound as I forgot to enable it!)

BF2 is still a great game!

Er ... don't tell my wife :?

1,440 hours - That's 60 days full 24hr over four years.
At 8 per day it's 180 'working days' playing the game.
180 / 4 = 45 working days per year ... or 7 x 5 day working weeks playing a stupid, online wargame.

I feel ashamed
#36
Well I can confirm that using your EA downloader key on a CD installation of the game does not work, for anyone itnerested :santa:
