Voted hot but link doesn't seem to vote for me - it is at http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;0;-1;-1;-1&sku=958109 though.

Great price for this game, voted HOT!
#3
Great price!

This game is ****ing class, haven't had time to play it recently though, exams and such but hardcore online is the dogs ********, I just need a clan or some buddies to team up with *nudge, nudge* and I can rack up some real high scores if some tactics get put down.

I'm talking 360 here btw
#5
Great game, especially on PC although the console versions are pretty well done too.
#6
quidco and topcashback too
#7
Just ordered one, Been waiting for a good price on this game, saw it in tescos today for £30 so this is a great deal!

Graphics on the consoles are horrendous imo. Couldn't play it on either the 360 or PS3 because of the jagged lines all over the place (especially things like telephone wires, which are more like a small series of straight lines joined badly). The maps are simply too big for those consoles to be able to render the graphics with anything like the resolution, clarity and sharpness of a good PC.
#9
Hot! Still prefer MW2 though.
#10
^ Are you kidding me? BC2 totally rapes MW2 in all departments.

Even the creators of the series Infinity Ward have jumped ship.
#11
Meh I have both and gave up on BC2 after about 2 days played (i game about 6+ hours a day). It just doesnt appeal to my playstyle and inexplicably runs like a dog on my system (sub 15fps with min settings on Phenom x4 965 3.4ghz, radeon 4890 and 6gb of ram. compared to 60+ fps on MW2 with all max settings). If you prefer BC2 then fair enough, i discovered the futility of the whole "my game is better than your game" arguments back in the Quake vs Counter Strike days.

Guessing they selling BC2 so cheap now everywhere with the BC2:Vietnam expansion comming over the horizon.

ZZZzzzzzz

You need to go read up on the reason why so many of the coders have left.
Clue: It's nothing to do with a MW2 V BC2 peeing up the wall competition :whistling:

spot on word for word

Ive just downloaded the bc2 demo to see what its like, when i run the game it says it needs to update to current and attempts to connect to a server but always fails also when i try n log in with EA account it cant find the server again....any ideas anyone?

Why are people trying to compare PC to Consoles?.

The current gen of consoles are based on PC Tech 5 years old, get a grip people, or in the case of the PS3 tech so difficult to develop for that it's at the saem level.

Couldn`t take to this one at all- somehow I just enjoyed the original Battlefield games a whole lot more. Has gave a few crashes as well on my system. A decent price though for those intrested....
#16
Had it very briefly on the 360 and loved the multiplayer.

Going to get it back on the PS3 though,
#17
Is this instore as well?
#18

Indeed, that's one of the reasons, of many, that makes me stick to the PC platform.

And, to think, the maps are much smaller than in previous battlefield games, I wonder how consoles would cope with maps that size.

If someone knows, this would be awesome... spent 10 minutes on hold to two different stores waiting for someone to pick up... bloomin useless. Not been in an HMV for years, looks like it's not going to change.
#21
is the game easy to get into? it looks a bit overwhelming tbh.
#22
I'm not into multiplayer, can you play this FPS.
#23
You're asking if the single player is ok? Yeah, it is pretty fun.

Also, zurich, the game is best if you have friends who also have it or people you can arrange to play with in a squad with a mic.
#24
Bad game wouldn't recommend.

I know, I keep up with the news.

Anyhow, it's def better. MW2 perks- my 5 year old has a better imagination of superpowers.

And FYI - I was a loyal IW customer and played MW plenty enough.

BC2 is a technological marvel. MW2 is a technological failure.
#26
Brilliant game with dedicated servers (great for multiplay without having to put up with hackers or cheats). MW2 is a good game but does have its problems in multiplay without the dedi servers. Get BFBC2 and join a clan. Play online is great with loads of servers all over the world. Single player is short but good fun. This is a great Price OP

It's dead easy to get into.
You dont need to have played any of the previous games in the series.
It basically walks you through each stage of the game.

To put simply. If it moves ... blows it 'kin brains out. If it doesn't move, shoot it anyway :w00t:
#30
thanks for the replies.

might give it a bash.
#31
Dudepop, there is no demo. Unless you meant the beta release which was downloadable with a code to play. But has long since expired.

Staberinde, I dunno what to say about your 15fps with that setup. Honestly, I have a laptop running a CoreDuo 1.73gHz chip with AtiX1400 integrated graphics and get near 25fps on low settings! Your system appears better than my laptop and yet, somehow, you get a really low fps. Weird...

Damn it! I just bought this from Steam for 20 quid thinking that was a great deal! Ah well, still voted hot from me.

Now same price at play.com! Not sure whether this needs its own thread of whether it is best just to add it to this one (could a mod add it to the OP?)
