  Only on Amazon US, so technically not available to UK customers. The complete edition has yet to be < £5 legitimately over here.

  Battlefield doesn't use steam, it's EA, they use their own software called Origin I assume it activates on Origin.

  Last time i checked, about a couple weeks after BF3 released it was a ghost town with less than an handful of servers reasonably populated. Haven't checked since so can't say for sure.
  
  Its just been sitting there gathering dust since... so is BF3 now.

  Most people play Vietnam on BC2, well the ones i know any way, and with Armoured Kill on the horizon for BF3, it wouldnt be worth it unless you got the Nam expansion, good deal though!

  I have been playing this quite happily without the Vietnam expansion for the last few weeks, no problem finding a populated server. Excellent game, tonnes of fun and will keep you busy for ages. Btw I got mine from Amazon US site, works fine with European servers.

  Not as many as before, understandably, but more than enough with people still filling a fair few of them up. Also a decent number on Vietnam. Still has some life in it yet as some peeps seem to prefer it to bf3. :)

  Play this all time, way better than BF3 (each to their own though). Disagree with Arther, there's 100 of active BC2 servers (could depend on the time we're both online ofcourse :) ). Alot of people have gone back to BC2 after playing BF3 and preferring BC2. The expansion Vietnam only has 6 or 7 active servers last time I checked but I never have a problem getting onto them.
  
  Ensure you download the latest patch (2GB+) as you wont see all the servers otherwise. The server list only display the servers on the same patch level (ie. the latest).
  
  BC2 does NOT use that disease that is Origin, thats from BF3 and above. BC2 can use steam or DVD (DRM). Depends how you purchase it and the installation option. Worth noting the 10 install limit of the DVD install (the DVD installation option that didnt require the DVD to be present in drive to play the game) has been removed in latest patch.

  I was hooked on this for months, the Vietnam expansion is also great! definitely recommended!
