Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for PlayStation 3 will deliver a level of destruction, vehicular warfare, squad play and open world environments never before experienced in a modern warfare action game. By pushing destruction to new heights and delivering a host of land, sea and air vehicles, players will soon witness the best-in-class online warfare experience.

Whether online or in the single player campaign, players use every weapon and vehicle to survive and conquer. Players choose from 15 authentically modeled vehicles, each providing a tactical advantage and offering a variety of gameplay options. The new UH-60 transport helicopter can ship an entire four-player squad directly into battle, while allowing two additional team members to wreak havoc with its two mounted rail guns on board.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 players will have a selection of 46 weapons that they can customize into over 200 different, high-powered firearms. There are over 15,000 kit variations possible in the game, giving each squad member the ability to choose the weapon upgrades and combat enhancements that best fits their playing style. Between the weapons, kit combinations and deadly vehicles, players will be equipped with a wide range of gadgets, accessories and character specializations to give them the edge in the heat of battle.

Ultimate Edition contains:

* Battlefield 1943

* Onslaught Mode

* Limited Edition Unlocks

* VIP Downloads

Don't forget 3.5% Quidco

I believe that will be a downloadable expansion to the main game.

That's a very good price.
Battlefield 1943 is a great game on it's own, Onslaught Co-Op is fun and adds a lot of content to the game (I'm not sure if there will be Onslaught modes in Vietnam?)

Buy it

This game needs a price drop. Still quite expensive if you compare it to games that came out before and after it. Holds its value a little bit too well...

Very good price ;) I paid £2 more from play.com

I think you are very mistaken.
This is the Ultimate Edition, which has all the up to date DLC included, which tally up to almost the same value as what this priced, and then you get the full game of BC2 as well.

And for one of the best FPS games (Much better than COD) this is a steal.

We got this shortly after it came out , completed it and traded it in - is this version worth picking up again?
I'm intrigued by the co-op?
cheers

You can get the game used for 13 quid or so, but without the onslaught dlc and the code which unlocks maps that are already on the disc (apart from the newest map pack, which is actually a map pack this time). £21.99 is a bargain, just a shame they dont take maestro cards anymore.
#15
Don't forget this includes 1943 as well - a full downloadable MP game, which costs £9.99 on its own. :)

Treyarch make the better online modes, but single player has been "meh" for COD games from 3 onwards. COD4 obviously the best multiplayer but thats only because it was the first one to change the formula a bit. MW2 was one of the biggest cons of the decade, absolute garbage.

Anyway, enough about that average fps series... (CS:S has always been superior anyway, and its ancient),

The other day i played black ops online straight after playing mw2 online and found black ops to be a bit more better to play online. Not sure how you guys find the difference between the two online. Iv played more online with black ops than mw2. Don't know why i never played mw2 online after completing the sp campaign.

Would you lot say its worth selling my limited edtion to get this Ultimate Edition

These are the differences between the 2 games

The Limited Edition includes 6 early unlocks:
1. Improved Vehicle Armour – An Up-Armour package mounted on all vehicle types decreases the effect of both explosive and penetrating warheads, significantly improving vehicle survivability.

2. Vehicle Alternate Fire - Additional weapon packages mounted for the driver of all armoured vehicles, greatly expands the range of targets the vehicle can successfully engage and destroy.

3. Vehicle Motion Sensor – Upgraded Sensor to locate enemy units in direct proximity to the vehicle.

4. Tracer Dart Pistol – Launched by compressed air, this magnetic dart attaches to any vehicle surface, allows friendly shoulder launched rockets to lock on to and track moving targets even beyond line of sight.

2 Classic Battlefield 1943 Weapons:
5. M1A1 Submachine Gun – Popular with Paratrooper and Commando units in WW2 for its rate of fire and stopping power the M1A1 is still seen in the hands of paramilitaries today. Reliable but heavy this classic weapon is still a powerful force in the hands of a Battlefield Veteran.

6. M1911 Pistol – Adopted in 1911 by the US Army the M1911 saw heavy service in WW1, WW2, Korea and Vietnam. Highly customised M1911 are still favored by Special Operations forces for its reliability and the power of its large .45 calibre round.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ultimate Edition Specific Features:
1. Battlefield 1943 - the Ultimate Edition includes the award-winning and best-selling downloadable game Battlefield 1943. Enjoy the thrill of a fully featured WW2 online shooter with the unique Battlefield sandbox experience.

2. Onslaught Mode - play 4-player co-op in this expansion that challenges elite squads to get to the top of the Onslaught-specific leaderboards, and serves as an introduction to multiplayer for those new to the battlefield.

3. Limited Edition unlocks - get immediate access to four vehicle related unlocks and two weapon unlocks from day 1, a bonus originally included in the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Limited Edition.

So looks like you get the same unlocks as the limited edition and 2 extra DLC's Battlefield 1943 & Onslaught Mode

I've played this game and its amazing! So fun and challenging online. The way you gotta defuse the bomb etc... Iam addicted to COD but this game has that magic challenging spark to it online. I guess its cheaper and better to buy this version of the game then fork out £14 just for the 2 DLC on its own you mentioned above.
For £8 more you can have the whole game with all the DLC :-)

This an Awesome game. Unlike COD this game actually focuses on Team Work. Give your team mates ammo, health or even be able to fix their tank or chopper as the engineer.

i dont agree black ops is poorly designed and a huge leap backwards in my opinion

Bought this on PC a while ago but haven't bothered playing it. As a Battlefield 1942 player back in the day who is just about getting to grips with playing FPS on the 360...should I buy this or stick with PC version?

I always thought I'd stick with PC for keyboard/mouse but I'm improving with a pad on black ops. Hmm..
