Cheapest I've ever seen this kit. Such a beautiful model and fra*king perfect for the Battlestar fan. Could make a good last minute gift.

The single-seat Viper Mk. II, suitable for flight both in planetary atmosphere and deep space, is reputed to be the most famous space superiority fighter used by the Colonial Forces. The first examples, specially designed for use on Battlestars, went into service shortly before the start of the first Cylon War. The Mk. II saw exemplary service during the first Cylon War which earned it special recognition throughout the twelve colonies. It is regarded as one of the reasons why the Colonials were not beaten by the Cylons, which explains its great fame. The fighter, which is about 8.40 m long, is flown by one pilot, has two kinetic energy weapons and external stations for rockets, munitions carriers and other equipment under the wings.

I like when they give scale references to something that isn't real.

Still makes sense to give it a scale (not least because it has a pilot sitting in it!)

Well they built real life versions of them for the TV shows so the scale will be based on those.

I'm not knocking this post, but for those without Prime.

Don't forget the Galactica. £15 ish from a market trader, with free delivery, or £15.05 Amazon prime.

Cool model.I always preferred the look of the Mk II Viper to the Mark III.

There are real prop versions, even for the Galactica to get the models and CG they had to define it's 1:1 size.

Price gone up now :(

I got the Galactica model in the end. It's much more substantial than I was expecting, and looks like it will be a good starter model to try out some airbrushing for the first time.
