I'd definitely like to watch this again in HD. That said on the last DVD boxset parts of each episode were seemingly not shot in HD - for a film buff friend of mine who could tell what type of camera was used in each shot this was really apparent - that said I couldn't see anything wrong with it (one of those cases where ignorance is bliss).

Aren't there a couple more Galactia films coming out and a new series 'Caprica'...? ...there'll be another dozen different 'Complete Series' boxsets before they're done ;-)

I loved the action shots of this series it was kind of handheld and shot like more like a documentry...it aint no star trek/star wars thats for sure

Yep - I loved that too  - the parts my pal was noticing were some of the 'normal' scenes - it's probably only someone like him who'd be aware of those diferences (he's starting out as a film writer / director / producer).

The Caprica pilot is already available on dvd. I saw it a few weeks ago and have to say it was absolutely brilliant! A VERY worthy prequel to bsg imho.

Definitely want this one in blu-ray, but I think I'll wait a year for the discounted versions.

if any of you pay this much for a box set you are a disgrace

I would love to watch this, but could never justify that much money on it - even if nowhere else is selling it cheaper, I will have to wait

Great Show!
But I agree the final episode and the answers it gives you will leave you feeling gutted and cheated. :x

Why?
This isn't just a normal box set. It's four years worth in Blu Ray - that's less than £30 a year for Hi-Def which is an entirely reasonable price.

It's not that long ago that a single season of a TV show was on the wrong side of £50 on DVD.

There will be loads of people selling their old DVD sets cheaply - check ebay for much cheapness :)

I agree completely, Loved the show right up to the last episode, which ruined the whole thing. If they added an alternate ending (and didn’t let the usual American religious nuts dictate it) I may be interested but for me the final episode spoiled the entire series.

 If you actually looked at what you get for this price, you'd realise it's not just any tiny boxset - it's the entire series and then some. Lol.

Are you saying the ending was dictated by religious nuts? If so just what religion did that ending support? It doesn't seem to be pushing the views of any religion I know of; I certainly can’t see any Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu or Sheikh saying “that really affirmed my religious beliefs”. :p

Edit: By 'the usual American religious nuts' did you mean scientologists? I've never looked into their beliefs in much detail.

It was good to have the series wrapped up even if all the weird 'new age' quasi-spiritual stuff was a little disappointing.
