The complete set of all five series of the TV smash hit Battlestar Galactica. Following a devastating attack on their homeworlds, the only surviving humans of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol cross the galaxy in a space convoy headed by the Battleship Galactica. In hot pursuit are the ruthless Cylons, powerful robots who turned on their human creators and brought about the near annihilation of mankind. The voyagers' last hope is to find the fabled 13th colony: Earth. But with their nemeses in hot pursuit and the revelation that the artificial machines now have the ability to take human form, it's going to be very far from an easy quest.

Blimey....blame it on old age but my memory fails me...all I can recall is something to do with a dwarf/midget that spoke backwards...

if you buy this check out this link

http://thunderpeel2001.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/battlestar-galactica-viewing-order.html

viewing order - just a few changes you should make if this sort of thing bothers you (no spoilers in this page!)

also, there is a movie called 'The Plan' which you will have to buy seperately for the 'complete' story - just to make you aware 8)
always watch the deleted scenes after each episode - lots of great stuff !

it's one of the best series I've watched, I'd put it up there with my other favourites the Wire, Sopranos, Twin Peaks & Deadwood - really good characters and stories !

Yup, the dwarf, the Black Lodge and the evil doppelganger, that was pretty much it. An excellent example of David Lynch's makesihtupasyougoalong technique (I guess Lindelof was a fan). It kinda reminds of Lost really - brilliant overall series let down by a totally unsatisfying ending.

Such a shame...the most recent example of a series fitting this bill, amazing set up poor pay-off, is the french series Les Revenants AKA The Returned...only one series in and it all smells a bit Lost. Happy to be proved wrong of course.

Ah! No, don't be put off by my opinion! It is very good and I am hopeful that it won't go the Lost route...it's just the set up id almost TOO intriguing/complicated to not be finished up in some trite frustrating manner...yeah...I'm really selling it to you now X)

You don't use the search function much then?

For the first two seasons this was a revelation....but is it just me or did the show get bogged down around the time of New Caprica story line? The weight gain and personality change around one particular character just made it all a bit eye brow raising... now trying to get back into it but I think the damage may have been done for me!
#27
Frack me, that's a good deal.
#28
Somme really nasty and bitter and sarcastic comments in here. Why?
#29
Good price... but I got it for 11.49 (8.99 + 2.50) from Blackwells in Febuary 2013 :)

Yep. It was on blu-ray. Me jammy!

As others have said, great start, poor ending.
Highlight was the Pegasus arc in series two.
Things got downright stupid with the Iraq style occupation and it just got poorer and poorer there after.
