If it played like the television advertising campaign looked then it would have been a first day of release purchase for me.

"Heat" added for the deal but, on the strength of the Playable Demo & the various game-play videos I have seen, not a game I will be buying at any price.

BFN,

One of the best games of all time. Again this game is NOT for the soulless, personality lacking, beer drinking, footie watching, foul mouthed, illigitimate child birthing, mediocre folk, because they would just NOT get it.

If you have any taste, an ability to not take everything too seriously, and want a hyperactive game that runs a hypersonic battle system, then this is it.

An essential for every gamer.

I like to think I'm cultured but this game is the pits. The voice acting and lack of mouth movement is jarring. The game is basically mash as many buttons as you can. And the story is beyond me. Really beyond me. It's so disengaging it's saddening because I really wanted to like it. But I'm struggling. PS3 owners beware: 5gb spare required to play. I wish I never made space for this.

I lol'd :)

Not because I disagree with you of course because some of what you say is very true. The story, if you can call it that is ridiculous on a mental level. I literally skipped all the cutscenes past the second chapter.

The gameplay itself I thought was excellent. Of course, you have to be into this type of game. I enjoyed it quite a bit personally. Although I have to say, it wasn't too far removed from the Devil May Cry franchise (same creator for this) and some reviews were a bit too generous. The fact that Edge gave this 10/10, yet rated better, more appealing games like Uncharted 2 9/10 was more than a little confusing :?

Would have been easier to say that if your not a fan of button bashing hack and slash games then stay clear . I personally hate DMC , Darksiders , GOW , Ninja Gaiden series . .

Ah! See, I rather enjoyed God Of War and Devil May Cry 1-3. I can even grasp bizarre storylines having played the majority of the Final Fantasy series (crazy jp humour i get), but the thing that swung it for me was the Edge review. I had utmost respect for Edge as it is a games magazine that is targetted at a generally mature audience and I used to even dip into it when I was younger for my megadrive reviews (Sega Power was mediocre).
I guess I will have to tread more carefully in the future. Roll on Red Dead Redemption!

Still waiting for this to hit the £9.99 mark. Which on this evidence, won't be long.

Went to PC World where this was still £35 and got them to price match it down to £10.80! I was hoping PC World would have it priced at £45 - then it would have come down to less than a tenner! Had been wanting to pick this game up since it came out but knew ht eprice would drop sooner or later. Really enjoying it so far.

i was in a Game store today (Livingston) and they where taking £5 off when you bought two clearance titles priced £5 and over, so i picked up a new copy of Bayonetta for PS3 £12.98 and a preowned copy of Brutal Legend for PS3 £9.98 and paid just £17.96 for both, works out at 8.98 each
