Product Description
Bear Grylls is no stranger to extremes. As one of the youngest people to climb Everest and one of the few to successfully complete the gruelling training for the French Foreign Legion, he has experienced intense cold, pain and exhaustion. But now he s up against something a bit different. Born Survivor puts Bear in situations that could happen to anybody, anytime and proves how easy it is to be caught by surprise in life and death situations. Born Survivor - Sahara A two-hour feature length special in the Sahara where Bear shows what it takes to survive the blistering heat, deadly sand storms and lack of food and water in what is one of the most hostile places on earth. Using his skills and adopting little known techniques used by indigenous tribes he encounters along the way, Bear takes on the Sahara and demonstrates that the unthinkable can, at times, be lifesaving. He devours lizards and scorpions, drinks water from a camel's rumen (stomach compartment) and demonstrates what to do if caught in deadly quicksand. This is a series of tough challenging environments where having the right skills and knowledge can mean the difference between life and death.

None. He'd stand there eating his own ****!
Are you stating the man is a total fake? Maybe you should be reminded that he has served in the SAS and served his country. How about you google 'SAS endurance test' :D

In his latest book he explains his side of the story. His family came to see him whilst he'd been away for a few weeks filming, and so he decided to go and stay with them at the hotel they were staying at, whilst he was in the middle of filming. The press got hold of it and made a story out of it (as newspapers do to get sales). Up to you if you wanna believe his version of events or the Daily Mail.
Having read what he had to do to get into the SAS (little sleep and hiking all over Welsh hill in all weathers with very heavy backpacks over a long period of time), and what he had to do to climb Everest (seeing other climbers die, again little sleep and oxygen etc), I'm inclined to dismiss that Daily Mail story (_;)

He may have been in the SAS but the some of his 'harsh environment shots' (LOL) were actually filmed 50 yards away from his hotel.
Also, when he was 'harrassed by bears in near his tent' it was actually the production crew in firs. Is this not a scam?
