Maybe one of the first artists to make rap/hip-hop commercial (with Licenced to Ill)l, but not so sure about inventing it! They were doing punk in the late 70s - around the same time that The Sugarhill Gang did Rapper's Delight.
Paul's Boutique is a great album and a good price. RIP MCA.

Sugar Hill Gang brought rap to the masses followed by Grandmaster Flash, NWA we should thank them all for their creativity
The same happened with Jackson, Winehouse, Houston.
If it is at least they picked the right one.
What I meant was, amazing that they released music in the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s and 2010s. That's how decades are normally spoken about?
