#5
Great price, good spot.
#6
amazing band, amazing part 2 best of album. I just want the remasters to come out, some point this century
#7
Frankly this is the best £7.99 most people will spend in their life. Red hot on price, but I haven't used CD Wow in a long time.
#8
Very, very over rated band - or is it just me?
#9
Paid £25 each for red and blue when I was a kid. Best £8 its possible to spend for a young person new to The Beatles. Take Ob La Di, Old Brown Shoe and Octupus Garden out and you have two CDs of un paralleled quality. We all have our different tastes, but this at £8 is as perfect a gift for anyone even remotely interested in music that I could imagine.

No, they aren't overated. There is more of an argument that them four scouse scallys are underated

yeh it do
you like all the x factor songs
and take that

A splendid time is guaranteed for all.

More musicality in a single instrument on these tracks, than most recent bands manage in a chart topper.

Around 40 years later, and it hasn't dated at all.
This era was The Beatles at their best for me.

No...its not just you, everyone states The Beatles have influenced everything since, yet if it wasn't for Buddy Holly or The Beach Boys, well its plain to see where they got their influences from.

The Beatles were just one of many 60s bands that have influenced the different genres of music in the 70s onwards, no more or less influential than The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix etc etc.

I prefer to give constructive arguments, rather than the rest in here that then just accuse you of liking X factor or Take That etc etc! ;-)

they wer not over rated

Well, you are hardly giving constructive reasonings WHY they are not overrated, just accusing others of listening to boy bands.

Kind of reminds me of school playground banter.......

Thats you that is...your mom looks like that....

They were the best at the time and still some nice tunes there, but at the end of the day its not to everyones taste and most of it is mono. It is so old and different genres have surfaced since then which makes it more likeable for peeps that are at least 30+.

I dare say its a good price but as someone has stated it is in need of a remaster to bring it up to this century ;-) no pun intended.

The Mary Whitehouse Experience - fantastic!

Voted hot... is the reason for the Beatles backlash here perhaps a generational thing? Are you sick of hearing your parents praising this band to the skies? Well here's your chance to hear what all the fuss was about.

Best wishes and Happy Christmas to all.

Yep thats where I got the quote from......as from the backlash being a generational thing, I dont think so....seems those that are defending The Beatles as not overrated are the ones that sound immature rather than offering a more constructive criticism...as I have already said :

Would you say that progressive rock had Beatles roots? Garage Rock? Punk?
