Actually, I'm one of the few who think the original CDs sound better. Certainly if you want to hear the music with the full dynamic range, the originals are better. Luckily these remasters were only a minor casualty of the loudness wars!

i think Sgt Peppers is an overated album but Abbey Road is great.

They're both over-rated, but so what? They're still fantastic albums; Abbey Road in particular. Definitely worthy of a purchase if you're in Sainsburys with £6 burning in your pocket.

are these going to be free in 6 years time? Not dissing the deal - just wondering. 50 years from when recorded isn't it?
#8
I'm not sure if they'll be free, or if other bands will just be able to use the music and make their own versions without permission. I'm not 100% about that, but... waiting 6 years to save £6 is cheap to a scale that this website has never known before!

Abbey Road is my favourite album of all time so hot from me.
Time to fire up Beatles rock band one thinks

Oh and waiting 6 years to save 6 English pounds is outrageous ahhahahahahahahhaha

Wonder if the White Album, Revolver, Please Please Me etc will follow suit....?
