I'm no expert but surely these are fake? If not, the fact it uses AA battery's would put anyone off XD

I too think they must be fake, but all headphones that use active noise cancelling technology have batteries, some say they are noise cancelling because they fit snugly in your ear, but the active technology needs power to run, even in Bose ones!

I own studio wireless and they charge via cable, no batteries, these are fake asf

the ones that you have are the new ones - they still have a battery inside, but it is rechargeable.
the previous generation ones did indeed have ordinary batteries in them. Perhaps that is why they are cheap, they are old stock.....The other downside is that the old ones will not work at all, even in non passive mode, when the batteries are flat.
this is from a CNET review in 2013:
The new Beats Studio slightly alter the look of the original model we first glimpsed in 2008. The most noticeable change is they no longer require AAA batteries to power the noise-cancellation tech.

Instead you'll be recharging these headphones using a power adaptor and cable, with Beats reckoning you'll get 20 hours of use from one charge. A button on the right earcup lights up a set of LEDs to illustrate how much charge you have left.

I have Studio 1's as per the pic. I bought them from the one and only Beats store in NYC, (now gone).

The first set took AA's. The second set look nothing like the first set.

The ignorance of posters is flabbergasting.
