Well, Becks is 5% abv and carling is 4%

Becks has a nice malty dry finish and very little aftertaste... it's brewed in Germany, in a brewery that dates back to the 1870's, under the very strict Reinheitsgebot Purity Law (which has been in force since 1516), that rules that only water, barley and hops may be used in the production... hence quality is the main goal.

Whereas Carling is brewed somewhere near Reading with tap water and bunch of other gooey stuff and colourings.

I'll let you make an informed decision.

not as nice as Bud or Peroni .. but still cheap

Is this the ONLY decent beer deal on at the moment? I've seen that ASDA have 2 crates for £16, but thats a fair way short of what i'd refer to as a GOOD beer deal...i need to stock up for easter + the bank holidays + royal wedding etc!

They should so give away a puppy with every bottle - they'd sell loads!

Coors blimey, a few people could be drafted in to grab the deal. Bud Weiser people may take a gamble and wait for a better offer. Wonder what the stock levels are? If they are low, you may have to get your Heine Keen and rush to Sainsbury's before it is Sol-d out. I might get my San Miguel to pop over and get some if he hasn't Leffe-d for work at the Miller-s. If he has, I might need to call a favour from my pint sized neighbour Stella to go if she can get away from watching the Corona-tion street omnibus. She seems to be into the Beck-y storyline. I do like the Fuller taste of a 5% lager.

How long has that been brewing away? Beats all the pint-sized comments, hopefully nobody will be bitter.

Think there may be something up with their site, booked a delivery slot which said £3.50 but at checkout says £6???!

EDIT: Ahh just noticed as my order is less than £40 delivery is £6! Rip off, will see if someone can get to store for me.

Just for info:
Bitburger is available at sainsburys (was on 20% off a bottle last week).
Oettinger used to be in Aldi but not seen it for ages. Last saw this at a localish chain 'Rythm and Booze' round here but again not for a while.
