Yes, they had them in stock for a very short time at this price, but quite a lot missed out.

Good post, voted hot!

I got one of these at Xmas. Just be aware that they don't get very hot, and they don't retain the heat for very long.

Managed to get a pink one from play.com ... daughter wont go to bed without it now ... very very good !!!

I bought one after it was posted previously. Unfortunately, once it has been microwaved it emits a terrible smell which is so nauseating that it went straight into the charity bag (and I still feel sorry for the caritable organisation that inherited it). Therefore a rare cold from me

Yes, this is when it has been microwaved for too long, I've made the same mistake (misread the label and did it for the time for a different Watt rating than our powerful microwave!).

Isn't that because: "It also contains the calming aroma of lavender to promote ultimate relaxation."?

If they lose their cuddly-ness too it hardly seems worth getting.

remeber to microwave them with a cup of water to prevent scorching

I wouldn't put them in a 6 month olds cot due to the risk of overheating but the 15 month should be fine. THey are quite heavy though

I've got one of these and have had it for about 2 years now, as long as you follow the instructions, you shouldn't get the awful smell - I find it makes a nice change to a boring hot water bottle. I haven't had any problems with mine retaining heat for a reasonable amount of time either! Voted hot!

Can anyone tell me please: do you put the entire bear in the microwave or remove some sort of heating element from inside it? I put my feet on my water bottle, and dont fancy putting it where my food goes. Also, theres something mildy satanic about microwaving a bear.

Thanks for that - have ordered one for my 15 month old son - voted hot!

You put the whole thing in. I suppose you could put it on a plate if you dont want it to touch the microwave, but only if your microwave is big enough. We just put ours on the glass tray at the bottom, but then we never put food on that becuase food is always on a plate or in a container...
