This book needs no introduction. The hardback edition was the hottest seller of 2004. WH Smith cited it as the record holder for most copies of an autobiography sold in one week. In fact it has turned out to be the surprise darling of the book trade! Now, at last, the paperback edition is available and Katie has brought it right up-to-date with full details of her love for Peter, their new life together, their engagement and their impending wedding. She also reveals the projects she has been working on and what the future holds for her career. No book buyer will want to miss out on the next instalment of Katie's life - so fasten your seatbelts for another rollercoaster ride.

I personally wouldn't give her the steam off my poo, never mind buying a book telling how many guys have poked hers. Not voting either way, just because I don't like her as it might be a good read for some strange person.

The hardback edition was the hottest seller of 2004

It took 5 years for the paperback to be released :?

Well I for one am happy to miss out reading about this non-celebrity.

My wife likes her too but when I suggest I get her implants for her birthday she gets upset. Women eh, I'll never understand them.

By "hottest seller" do they mean burns well on a bonfire?
#18
Why are people voting cold cos they don't like her? £4.99 is a good price for a book!
#19
No it isn't, if it's cr4p!

What does it matter if people like her? I like monkeys but I wouldn't buy a book written by one.

No it's not. A new book maybe, but this is 5 years old. Old celebrity autobiographies end up in Poundland. £1 is a good price for a book.

Then why is it £6.39 in whsmith?
#22
It can be £639 in WH Smith, doesn't mean people are buying it.

Because some people might see her as a sign of everything that is wrong with popular culture and that making this a hot deal only encourages that.
#28
I disagree, the earlier poster who pointed out that many autobiographies end up in Poundland, and £1 is a good price for a book, had it 100% on the nail.

Really? I don't see anyone agreeing with anything you post and wonder why you were suspended.

I was suspended for mocking, probably deservedly.

I also don't generally post just to be agreeable or be agreed with. I think that this woman represents everything wrong with 'celeb' culture and the general pathetic level of debate in this country.

I welcome an inciteful rebuttal of that, but won't hold my breath princess.;-)

But in truth and fairness, she's got us all down to her "general pathetic level of debate", right here, right now.

So do I - I still haven't read Proust or Plato in their entirety, but this is just easier. This woman is a totem for all that is wrong with how we reward people in society. She isn't talented, she's just famous.

Sadly apparently there are people who see her as a role model.

When I said "she" I meant Jordan, not xSpoiltPrincessx

Just to be clear, you understand :-D

Me neither, in fact I've never read Proust. Plato is good, but nothing without Mickey.

Lighten up fella ;-)

Oh dear. If people see her as a role model, that is their choice. They have their opinion as you have yours. I don't see her as a role model, i just don't have a problem with her. People are famous for all sorts of reasons.
