Maybe, its the same as Guv got delivered but the £100 should be the 530 (built in freeview but slightly lower contrast ratio).

Homebase and Argos owned by same company.

Have tried ordering on Homebase when it says in stock, however AFTER you pay it tells you its out of stock.

Should have bought £100 of vouchers, got 110, repeat for 220 voucher for 200 cash, but item with vouchers, net another £10 voucher. Total £200 spend with £30 in vouchers.

More to the point, you'll not find it, as there doesn't seem to be any stock at any price in Argos stores.

You still got it for £199 despite the price going up overnight? How did you manage that?

lmfao
Not worth the price??

Why what other 32in is cheaper??

Even if you reserved yesterday it says on your print out that the reservation is only for the item and NOT for the price so sorry guys but you may be too late.

not worth £30 more, geez how tight are you, lol

To be honest its a bit off that argos cant honour a reserved price for 24 hrs. They know exactly how many people are waiting to pick up today so know they've a captive market to make a quick buck by raising overnight. Obviously they're within their rights as suppliers and no money has changed hands yet but still a small gesture to those wanting to put money their way!

I reserved mine yesterday, at £ 199.99.

Was a little dissapointed when it went up to £229.99 today before I picked it up.

I had already bought £200 worth of vouchers with the extra free £20 to pay for it.

Got to Argos within the last hour and they gave me the TV at £ 199.99 and the extra £10 voucher.

I picked mine up today and was quoted £229 showed them the reserve email with £199 and they adjusted the price no quibble. With vouchers got it for £179. Girl looked up the price and said it was £549 in April!!!

ok cheers, just printing my res out now.

Its the point that dont want to pay an extra 30 quid when effectively no reviews on the net so buying blind in a way, however i guess they can be returned.

Just picked mine up and the price had gone up to £229 - put on my shocked face and showed the reservation! After a short wait for a manager as he was busy it got changed to £199 :) and £10 to boot!

(felt a bit too cheeky using the £200 voucher route as it would have been quite obvious with them short staffed this afternoon!)
#26
can anyone who has purchased the tv talk about the quality of it?
thanks
#27
Just managed to reserve one in Cardiff Bay. Is the stock going to be there when I pick it up? What is the policy, if reserved, have they got it there and will it be new ? If not how much of fuss should I kick up if it is not there?

Thanks

Here is a pic of my telly, tested the PS3 on it using HDMI, I'm stunned at the picture quality and how good it is. I Also own a Panny 42" PX70

Bargain @ £169.99

Contrast is ok and picture is good with an external freeview box. Sound quality is surprisingly good. Good connectivity, scarts, components, HDMI,digital audio. Has loads of features, PIP,PAP,PAT and timer onboard and is wall mountable.

PS3 and 360 look great on it.

It does have backlight issues and you can see this from the corners of the screen and you might get a buzzing sound from the screen. Viewing angles are limited but it's good in it's range.

All in all it's a budget TV but an OK performer, you can't go wrong at the price.

Managed to find myself one locally...

So to clarify....If I buy 2 x £100 vouchers I get 2 x £10 vouchers FREE, I then buy the TV for £229 less the vouchers, £209......

Do I then also get some vouchers for spending over £200?

I have over 56000 Nectar points is it worth using them...What are they worth?

Thanks.:santa:

If your order is over £100.00*, you have qualified to receive a FREE £10 Argos Gift Voucher.

So it's cost £199....:w00t:
And I can use a Nectar card?...Are they doing TRIPLE points did I see somewhere?

Where's the best place for a stand?

Thanks

I was thinking tomorrow I will try the vouchers trick on the TV.....but I was reading up some posts about it being refused....so was slightly worried that Ill end up with £200 of Argos vouchers I don't really want...So is it for definate that they are not accepting vouchers?
#37

The vouchers thing works fine. There is nothing that says you can't do it. What you can't do is buy vouchers with vouchers.

I even had two shop assistants putting it through for me.

Just ask first if you are worried about it.

I just said to the cashier that I wanted to buy 2 x £100 vouchers in seperate transactions to get the two £10 vouchers, and it went like clockwork.:-D

cheers for the pic mallinersha

quality looks really good for its price

Got mine...voucher 'trick' worked fine for me...but my sis in law went to Meadowhell and they wouldn't wear it...but she was still happy at £229.99.

GREAT picture quality...just off to watch Strictly.......
