LOUD NOISES

Had a Beko washing machine for about 7 years, not one problem, The previous Siemens German crap broke down every other month. Normal wash times.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

PS. if ckeekychimp's machine takes so long the water pump or pipe from the drum is probably blocked with fluff or a coin.

I have the 1500 spin version of this machine and have no complaints. A normal wash at 40 degrees takes roughly 90 mins to complete.

Yeah, mine was useless, though their customer service line was admittedly very good.

I just gave mine away, it still worked but it wasn't a good machine. Got very noisy and sometimes a burning smell was present after a wash.
#7
Mine works fine few years now. Read other reviews, people are moaning here.

Buy a Miele and save the unnecessary hassle of changing your washing machine for at least another 15 yrs

Dreadful machine and oh so noisy! Avoid.

Very true, very expensive but true quality and don't skip a beat! Excellent products IMO

still showing @ £299 @ DIXONS....but a few reviewers say they had to have it replaced 2- 3 times due to faults

A lot of doom sayers on here but there are a ton of good reviews for this machine. Heat added and I'm off to get one this afternoon, as mine has just gone bang. Thanks OP!

These are far better than any Hotpoint / Indesit, they really are crap.

Beko is probably the best low cost washing machine on the market.

really good price, just purchased the wmb71231w for around £205, so this is a good price.

why people are comparing a £800 washing machine to a £200 one is beyond me, these are the best quality at this price better than so called well known brands.

I bought a beko machine( a higher model than this one ) about 12 omths ago it has a variable wash time on it, I can do a 60 degree wash in one hour and a quick refresh 30 degree wash in 14 min ,I find the machine great just dont over load to get a good wash, My previous machine was a hotpoint cost twice as much and after 4 years the drum went to dear to replace voted hot8)

i have the wmb71231w which looks exactly the same, so is the spec is same except this is 1300 spin, the wmb712311w is 1200. so i think they are pretty much the same re washing times.

for more info on the time saver wash see below-

for a cold wash the time taken is 26 minutes

for 30c wash the time taken is 28 minutes

for 40c the time taken is 50 minutes

for 60c the time taken is 58 minutes

for 90c the time taken is 1h 28 mins minutes

Seems a great price given the energy rating capacity and spin speed, however I'm holding out for something similar with an extended warranty for a up to £250, may be dreaming but I liven in hope :)

This is the price it's costing me to replace the drum in my £500 Hotpoint, ugh. :/

Useless would never buy another Beko. Most unreliable appliances. only bought them when I was a student. Ugly, noisy and feel just as cheap as their price.would rather pay for a similarly priced second hand better brand

I have one and it's a piece of junk.

It's very very noisy
Takes ages to do a cycle
Started to leave faint black marks on my whites occasionally.

Seriously, avoid Beko washing machines.

Had a Beko washer for 4yr now, cheapest model they sold as was kitting entire house out from scratch so didn't gave money to burn, and still going strong, no probs, never sent it back or had to repair once , highly recommended. They're simple machines so not much to go wrong.

Take negative reviews with a pinch of salt.
#24
PS They do quick washes ... The hot programmes take ages prob heating up water but theres a "mini 30" 30deg wash and only takes half hour... They're not that noisy either at least mine isn't ...

Black marks are oil from a failing main bearing (drum) time to bin it.

Most wm's are built to a price, not a standard. You can find bad reviews and experiences for everything. I know of one miele breaking down 3 times in 12 months, for example. Truth is, for what they cost, beko produce a decent mw. Long wash times on these means you should clean the fluff filter as its blocked. The main bearings on these are much better than those used in Hotpoint/indesit/Hoover etc, but like all cheap wm's' NEVER ever overload it. Most breakdowns in the first 3 years are caused by overloading, not reading the manual, stupidity, or ignorance. You can buy a lot worse for a lot more.

Go to Comet, Currys are useless

I bought one of these on Saturday. So far so good. If you push at point of sale you can buy the 5 year warrenty for the price of the 3 year warrenty. £8 somthing a month over 10 months. I have had a look through the wording and it pretty much covers anything. £270ish for a washing machine that is going to see 5 years?

Does this come with free fire extinguisher? oO

I got the Beko WME8227W (8kg, 1200RPM) from Currys last year for 215 quid and it's a great machine. Not ugly, noisy or a cheap feel at all - love the LCD display with a countdown timer to completion and various symbols to show what stage it's up to on it for example (I would *never* buy a washing machine without such a display/timer). 40 C, 1200RPM, cottons, quick wash is the most common setting I use and that's 66 minutes which is fine by me, though there are other combos that could get you under an hour if you wanted (I use cottons because that's a mode that lets you go to 1200RPM).

i dont know how people can say theres no short spins. mine has hundreds. its the quietest washing machine around me by miles. my neighbours are noisy.

its cheap but the build quality is good for the price
#32
Been there, done it, a truly awful experience, avoid. They really are cheap for a reason.

Ours lasted only a few months before the bearings went on the drum. Washing machine engineer says the build quality of these are truly dreadful. Within warranty so I got a full refund, but never again.

Bosh ordered for a rental property, £189 delivered is a bargain in my book
#34
Just ordered from pixmania as currys and dixons coming up that they cannot deliver.
been watching out for a bargain Beko as my hotpoint has been repaired about 6 times in the 5 years i've had it.

just hope it doesnt go wrong as you'll have no luck with pixmania returning it (they will probably insist you ship it to turkey at your expense!)

Currys have ended this deal - it was back up to a crazy 299.99 15 mins ago and I just checked again and it's now 301.09! You do suspect they do this to be legal in a month's time when they can claim they've knocked 110 quid off it again...
