Belinea is a very good brand. Much better than those crummy Hanns G monitors that keep cropping up.

Shame it has in-built speakers though.

Looks a good price - probably best to clarify it is not a widescreen monitor though

This is what it actually looks like. Ebuyer are using the wrong image. To see a very big photo go here: http://www.belinea.com/news_press/Awards/index.html#Belinea2025S1 and click on "Productimage"

If this had a dvi input I'd buy it straight away, unfortunately only analogue... still at this price...

For DVI monitor, I'd probably go for this...

Makes it even better if it's not widescreen

Yes, lots of people will prefer traditional aspect monitors, particularly for multiple-monitor setups etc. The market is rapidly swaying towards widescreen though, and before too long I expect people will assume 20"+ monitors are widescreen (like I'm guessing most people do with TVs now).

Yeah widescreen is on the verge of being the standard. All laptops nowadays come with widescreen, and so do most tft's.

At first I didn't like it as you lose screen space, but now I wouldn't switch back. It feels more natural and easier to look at, and has obvious benefits when it comes to watching any movies, or even playing games.

Lack of DVI puts me off. Otherwise I'd be tempted by it for a second monitor.

Widescreen sucks for a lot of games, big black lines round the sides :(
