I bought one recently and I'm not too happy about it. It's OK for web browsing and such, but the colours are really off and slightly washed out, so photo editing is a no-no on it, movie watching is also less than exciting on it. But I guess you get what you pay for.

Did you calibrate/adjust your monitor? You can try the tips here & see how you get on.

I always adjust TFTs to suit my eyes & tastes. Purchased a Hanns-G 19" widescreen DVI TFT about 19-20 months ago (got it for £105 off Amazon, which was a real 'budget' price in those days). Didn't know what to expect as it was cheap, my first TFT & I'd never heard of the brand before. Anyway, default settings for brightness/contrast were set too high to begin with, but with a little adjusting (including desktop: size of icons, fonts, mouse pointer, DPI, ClearType, etc) got the display to look very good indeed. No problems with photos, movies, websites, text, etc. Has served me well ever since, & I'll gladly buy another one.

I'm after a white one for my Dad to go with his Mac Mini.

Price and size are right.
