There are some 10m cables in Meadowhall, Sheffield. I picked up a couple yesterday. I think they only had blue and green left.

They also had some 10m crossover cables.

what is ethernet cable? If we want to get really fussy ethernet is actually a standard of cable (IEEE). The cable in this instance is a cat5e cable. With a RJ45 plug on each end.

An unkeyed RJ45 plug (or 8P8C connector).

I don't think I've ever actually seen a keyed RJ45 anyway.
