nice find, surge protector are important, just don't use with 360 as power supply has one build in also MS won't cover warrange if say using one. HOT

Thanks

This one is also better than some of the cheaper ones, as it also has RF noise filtering which is handy for Home Cinema equipment and HiFi.

Sorry, how do these work with phone/broadband lines. I can see one connection in the picture - what's at the other end (ie does it have a phone socket connector as well as a plug)?

They come with connector cables. One line from your wall outlet to the surge protector, the other from the surge protector to your modem. Same for the TV coax cable.

I love these units, especially the rotating socket that each one has. They are designed so chunky power bricks don't foul each other when plugged in. If they have a flaw it's the on/off rocker switch which makes it all too easy, when the unit is on the floor under your desk, to switch everything off with a careless foot.

heat and rep - good spot OP - these units are usually £29.99 or so instore.

Wish I'd seen your post before I went!

Homebase Glenrothes; the world's most useless DIY store; we never fail to disappoint.

Not seen at Ayr

I think this is the same as the one in PC World: http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0478662708.1222419981@@@@&BV_EngineID=cccladeffgmhhehcflgceggdhhmdgml.0&page=Product&fm=null&sm=null&tm=null&sku=935362&category_oid=

If so, Price Promise ahoy. £32.99 in PC World means £23 difference, so that with 10% on top should be £7.70.

I was gonna check my local store, but if it's not available, what's the point? How many folk have actually found them instore?
#16
None in Northampton Sixfields or Riverside. Picked up a PureAV 8 socket 2m for £10 though.

EDIT: Turns out the one I've bought it actually made by Belkin, it's just the black version! See here
More expensive than the white one on website but still £9.98 in store! It's in a plain white box. Comes with 1.8m telephone cable, 1.8m coaxial cable & £175,000 warranty!

peterpickles - wasnt asking how you prove it! Was asking the guy who said PC world would price match! Need to prove it to PC world first. :)

I went on Friday and saw none at £10. The only ones I could see were around £15 and up and no 8-way's. I may look again tomorrow, but I'm not sure. I'd love 3 to 4 of these at a good price as well...

I found none in Homebase Osterley last Friday but ending up in Devon in the weekend I popped into the Barnstaple branch. They had none on the hooks but a whole display crate of them out on the floor. I bought two... though I'm note even sure if I needed one.
