Comments from people who have never even SEEN a particular product are my idea of absolutely pointless :-(

Of course others call it TROLLING.

Then try expressing opinion on something you have experience of, and it might then get taken as legitimate. For some strange reason, this particular item always gets lot of unwarranted and baseless "opinion" from people who have no experience to base it on

Im my experience a cushion or lap is fine, and doesn't warrant a laptop cushion in my opinion. Its like the JBL products - creating a solution to a problem that, in my opinion, doesn't exist.

Great product, I used to use a firm pillow/cushion, but this provides a much better position for typing, allows you to sit with better posture, has a hollow middle to store any small devices you are charging via USB and, most importantly, doesn't block the vents like the pillow/cushion used to.

Chocolate - that'll be brown then.... :)

Looks like a good product and a decent price, I'd get one if I used a laptop. Hot.

A worthwile product keeps laptop fans free and prevents overheating been using one for ages before i had one my laptop motherboard got damaged due to having it on my bed all the time and no air flow getting to it

Bought one a few months ago and can recommend it. Well designed and does the job. Agree that it is not essential by any means but it does make using a laptop while sitting on the couch a much more comfortable experience. Price is good as well - so it's hot. 'nuff said.

a cushion can 'mould/fit' round the laptop and block the vents at the back or side - making the laptop overheat.

you can put the laptop power supply in between this,
which is something you cant do with a cushion ...

Needs to be £5 before I buy it! Seems good though.

Looks like a good deal. I am not suggesting that this is a better one:
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60115791
but will just mention that is it wider, which suits some applications better e.g. my daughter was doing homework in the back of the car on a long journey at the weekend, and brought our IKEA cushion with her. It is a bit wider that the Belkin, which means that there was room for her to use our little Logitech wireless mouse on the side of the cushion (it has a fairly hard plastic top) rather than use the touchpad.

This is great because you can use as a booster chair for kids as well!

I have three of these, bought for more than £15 each. This is a good deal.

Ok, i'll ask. Do you use all three at the same time? If yes, stacked or side by side?

or people who wish to have an active sex life with no effect on sperm count - this is highly useful

using laptop for even half an hour gives off enough heat to kill some of your little soldiers which is something SOME people would love to avoid

plus some laptops are just plain annoying how hot they can get in a short amount of time

Haha, no, individually. I have three laptops and they just live on top of these things rather than having to move them around with me. I treat them like portable desks. The only gripe I would have is that if I'm slouched on the sofa and the top isn't level enough then the MBP (which has no rubber feet) slides off too easily. No problems otherwise.

Thanks, Ordered...

Prefer the Belkin CushDesk. Used to have a CushTop but didn't get on with it.

Keep on repeating it, you still don't know what you are talking about, and it's no more true now than it was the fist time you said it.

I've seen this product in the shops - it's s4it :)

I bought a Cushtop and it caused my laptop to overheat.

This is only because my laptop draws air from underneath using the fan, other models (mines a HP) maybe unaffected.

The problem is solved by just moving the laptop, in my case, it sits just left off the cushtop.

I think it's a good product and I continue to use it and a great idea instead of using something else.

Heavy laptop?... it would need to SOME weight be to press in and block the vents, as it's as hard as a board. Maybe you have broken the "feet" off your laptop, or it never had them in the first place? In which case though, you would have the same problem on a solid table.

Funny how people come up this these "odd" problems every time this item comes up. It must be the impression that it is actually a cushion when in reality it is rock hard!

Yes, that little chirp adds a lot to the discussion, perhaps you could tell us a little more on how you formed this well reasoned opinion?

Chocolate Tourmaline, Burnt Orange.... talk about marketing tosh.

The next one is crushed velvet with sea salt.

agreed - some stupid marketing people end up taking away the little credibility the product had to start with!
