Had a quick Google but can only guess that you might be able to reflash this device to make it more functional, nothing is confirmed though. I don't even know what the specs are inside.

I know that this is not a top of the range Access Point / Range Extender, but for the price is good and cheapest around by fare.Belkin support page here, - http://www.belkin.com/uk/support/product/?lid=en&pid=F5D7132uk

PC World have this for sale at £36.99, £49.99 respectively (online, instore).

If you were cheeky enough to try a pricematch you could walk away with this for next to nothing.

Works as a game adaptor / wireless bridge guys!! BARGAIN!

Aww.. maybe it's Dixons that have the wide ranging price promise, damn.

Also w/r/t DD-Wrt.. I read that someone bricked their kit when flashing to the latest firmware so do NOT rush into that.

I bought the earlier model F5D7130 some time ago, cost about 60 then:(..... Only problem lol it would never work. as a range extender. compatibility was to restricted even with belkin routers.

hope this ones better.

No stock in my area although one or two stores did show up as having stock, too far away though.

Someone might be able to get a bargain?

Not posting it either due to limited stock, and it's a discontinued line (.97).
#15
will this work out the box as a bridge / game adapter? OR WILL IT REQUIRE FLASHING ahhhhh:whistling:
#16
Out of stock now.
#17
Great price thanks! Got one but it wouldn't let me buy 2. Still shows in stock even after my order and will still let me order one but not two.
Heat and rep!

Sorry but you already have rep from me. You have been busy haven't you?

It's nearly worth driving 25 miles to get a wireless ADSL router for a fiver. I'm still on a Netgear DG384G v1 I got off ebay a couple of years back.

EDIT: Silly me thinking that something they call a "Belkin F5D7231UK4 Wireless DSL Routers" would have a DSL port on it. FFS.:x

Belkin's suck, seriously.

Belkin's suck, seriously.

Not neccessarily Ms Tori Amos, they don't all, I got a bargain clearance on a Belkin MIMO router and it has exactly the same chipset in as the Linksys WRT54GX and both the build quality and stability have been excellent, before and after the Linksys reflash.

Well I worked for an ISP for a long time and the Belkin's we supplied had the highest return rate of any brand, I also can't think of one person I know who has ever bought one and not had problems with it, ideally you want to go for a Netgear one really.

Aye, just avoid Netgear's network cards like the plague!
#25
Does anybody know if this will work with Virgin Media?

Thanks,

Nothing wrong with the DG834* models from a while back.

I've had two of them running 24/7 for over a year now without any problems.

It's the Netgear adapters that I find are complete rubbish. The routers and powerline equipment are perfectly fine IMHO (don't know about the recent equipment though).

I had a Linksys bridge fail within a few months so I have no faith in them.

Doesn't look like that specific router is supported by DDWRT yet.

You can buy one, in fact you can buy 6000 of them, they should suit you perfectly.

I haven't come across a dodgy netgear personally but I suppose it's possible.
