So you've got a nice funky iPod but connecting it to your HiFi means having it in a cradle where you can't easily get to the click wheel. You've tried one of the poor iPod remotes and been less than satisfied, so what else can you do?

The Belkin Tunestage is a small transmit unit that attaches to the top of your iPod (a bit like an FM tuner unit) and sends the audio output back to your HiFi using Bluetooth connectivity. The 10 meter range of Bluetooth means you can roam within the confines of an average room and even though walls assuming you don't go beyond the 20ft effective range.

The transmit unit is styled and shaped to blend with the iPod unit and it also takes its power from the iPod's battery meaning its a lightweight and simple device which doesn't really burden your player or make it look any worse, Belkin have even used the same white plastic as Apple.

The base unit is a larger but smoothly styled ice white device, with simple indicators for Bluetooth connection and for active data. The rear of the unit houses 2 RCA connectors and it ships with a gold RCA to 3.5mm jack adaptor lead so actually allows you to drive the best interface (your iPod) and have the sound directly linked wirelessly to any HiFi equipment of your choice.

Tech Spec:
Requires no batteries and automatically powers on or off with the iPod
Works at distances of up to 33 ft./10 meter
Requires no software installation-ready to use right out of the box
Manually power on or off the TuneStage Receiver
Indicates proper connection and activity
Includes a Gold Series 3.5mm-to-2 RCA Stereo Cable for easy Plug-and-Play convenience
Compatible with iPod 3G, 4G w/click wheel, photo and iPod mini
Uses advanced BluetoothT v1.2 wireless technology
Turns your iPod into a premier wireless remote
Streams digital music wirelessly
Connects to your home stereo via 3.5mm audio or RCA stereo outputs
TuneStage delivers the pristine high-quality sound that iPod users desire, through a high-end, home stereo environment. Using Bluetooth technology, TuneStage can transmit from up to 33 feet/10 meter away from your stereo, free of the barriers that limit traditional remotes-such as walls, ceilings, or windows. This great new innovation from Belkin lets you roam and play your tunes, from virtually anywhere in your home. Wirelessly connected through TuneStage, your iPod becomes the ultimate remote, putting absolute control at your fingertips. Since the unit draws power directly from the iPod, it needs no batteries or extra cables.

They are only 82p more on eBay with free next day delivery, I would rather pay the extra 82p than buy from a company like Boffer...

Plus the ones one eBay come with a 3 year warranty where as Boffer only offer a 1 year warranty... (now there is a surprise when it comes to boffer and warranties :whistling:)

Yes, I have, they try to pass off second hand and refurb goods as new, I bought 2 Asus Eee notebooks from them about 1 month ago... were supposed to be new, but when they came they both had labels on them with the previous owners names and reference numbers and were both taped up with bright red packing tape... they were without a doubt refurb customer returns...

Then theres the issue of their non existant customer service and snail pace dispatch and delivery... and the fact that they never list items with the right warranties....
