Create a multi-user HD home entertainment network through your electrical wiring. Imagine streaming flicker free HD movies, lag free gaming and more all at the same time. No need for special wiring, with Belkins Gigabit Powerline HD Networking Adapters, it is that simple.

Powered by Gigle Semiconductors mediaxtream chip, Belkins Gigabit Powerline provides a secure, stable networking signal anywhere in the homeeven for areas that are hard to reach by wireless connections.

Because of its high Gigabit speeds and consistent connection, Gigabit Powerline reduces online gaming latency and provides large bandwidth, making it ideal for online PC gaming and ultrafast high-quality transmission of multiple video streams delivering content at 1000Mbps of speed.

Create an even stronger network by adding a third or more Belkin Gigabit Powerline HD adapters to your set up. This enables the Xtendnet feature that provides more stability and better performance, essentially making the network self-healing. The more adapters in your network, the more reliable the connection will get.

Setup of a powerline network is simple with its plug-and-play connectivity:
Plug one end of the Adapter into an available wall socket.
Connect the other end to any device with an available Ethernet port (RJ45), such as a gaming console, set-top box, or computer

Nothing hot, this is the price they are.
eg. Amazon
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Powerline-Networking-1000Mbps-Enclosures/dp/B00267Q3SI/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1259655116&sr=8-6

Lousy reviews there, and elsewhere too :-(

That wasnt the price on amazon when I added this deal... Curious as to why its been voted cold as its is still the cheapest online now along with amazon. Thought items were voted on the price not on lousy reviews?

If something is duff, then what sort of person is going to recommend someone else to buy it (and a hot vote is effectively someone recommending it)?

Hmmm, well iv ordered a pair and will comment if they are duff or not... I am currently using the 200mbps version to stream to my ps3 and know some 720p movies stutter so if I get better bandwidth with the 1gb version then I wouldnt consider them to be duff at all.

^^ fair point.

however, like most i bet your router is only 100Mbps, so you will need a gb router aswell. also my router is locked down to sky so i would need to buy an additional router purely for networking. my 85mb stream from my pc to ps3 just fine for 720p rips but doe's stutter on 1080p rips.

these homeplugs in general are a fantastic bit of kit IMO which get rid of those nuisance wires.

I have two gigabit ports on my mobo and will be running the plug from one of them, if used properly I dont see why they would be any issues... I will give a full review once delivered and tested.

Looks like I will have to take my hat off and eat it  after extensively testing the 200mbps and 1000mbps plug in controlled test in my house I saw the gigabit plugs having no significant improvement over the 200mbps belkin plugs...

This could be due to the wiring in my house or various other variables which I haven’t considered... However the majority of the reviews were right... and I also confirm these do not bring any improvement over the 200mbps belkin plugs for me... They didn’t lose performance but did not gain any.

These are going to be returned... So I will now be considering looking at the DEVOLO 200MBPS POWERLINE kit and seeing if that has better performance than my current belkin plugs. :whistling:
