Belkin Laptop CushDesk - Espresso £6.99 at Argos

Espresso and dark sky.

Belkin's Laptop CushDesk is uniquely designed to keep your legs protected from a hot laptop when using it around the house on your couch, bed or floor. The gentle slope improves typing comfort and reduces neck strain, whilst an anti-slide strip keeps your laptop from slipping. CushDesk allows you to travel around the house, from the bed to the couch-anywhere you like to surf, email or shop.

thanks for the feedback ;)

I have one of these also, excellent to have, still room for the air to mover around, non slip

my two sisters liked them also, so they ended up buying for their husbands/kids (another 5) and all love using them also

Paid a tenner at amazon about a week ago. Good quality, firm - using it right now. Much better than the awkward thig with a light I was using before.

bought this off amazon recently and wish i would have waited for this deal. its a lot bigger than i thought and quite thick. it does the job fine and is comfortable when placed on your lap. voted hot :D

Good spot, manged to get the last one from my local store, ideal for the XPS15 coming next week.

Much bigger and bulkier than I was expecting but good quality make, only dowside will be if you were hoping to put it into the average laptop bag for portablility I think you'll be struggling.

Thanks just ordered 1 from ashton, 19.99 in Currys. Heat added.X)

Thanks - my local store has no stock but was able to order in for collection next weekend :)
My lap-tray (lap bean-bag thingy) cost nearly as much and had to bin it recently as it split in all corners - little balls everywhere lol.

This will come in really handy!

reserved last one,, thanks.

We have the bigger CushTop and it is completely useless: laptop slides off it and when it is not sliding, it is still overheating. Not sure whether to give this one a go.
#16
Thanks for tip - reserved one for store pick up later in the week. Heat added. :3

I've also got one of the larger cushtops (with the hollow center which is great for holding remote controls/power supply etc.) and really like it (I use it literally every day). Never had any overheating problems with or without it (but they're designed to keep your legs cool not so much the laptop).
I notice the cushdesk has a strip to prevent sliding so might be worth a go. I used to find the cushtop would let the laptop slide, but I gave the rubber feet on the laptop a clean/roughing up (they'd kind of gotten polished from using on a desk) and now it's fine.

This is one of the best things I have brought. Got one from play last year, use it whenever I go on my laptop. Great if you want to use it on grass or your bed where the air flow might get blocked otherwise.

The solution to an overheating laptop is not to buy a cushion to put it on.

Looked inside?

Bought one today, have been using it tonight but find that, although the cushion does protect your legs from the heat, the laptop was heating up loads more than usual. Going to return it and try to find something designed more to keep laptops (rather than legs!) cool. Shame really, because it looks and feels good and was a good price.

Picked mine up yesterday and I like it. Considerably better than the Whinnie the Pooh & Tigger bean bag food tray I was using previously.
#34
Guessing this is useless if you already have the CushTop?

I have both. I like the extra height the CushTop provides, but prefer the hard top surface of the CushDesk.

I find the feet of the laptop sink into the soft surface of the CushTop and can reduce the air-flow through the vents on the bottom surface of the laptop.

Collected mine today - using it now and very happy :)

The brown leather effect top matches my dining furniture and the hard surface is great, just like using the laptop on a table top plus the padded side is comfy and keeps my legs cool.

Excellent buy so just wanted to say thanks!

Just got the last one in Chester, excellent item, very ergonomic. Great if you can manage to get one as they were sold out in the 6 stores I checked around my area.
