Don't go messing with Mr Wedge, as he says that was over a month ago and worthy of a reminder. Heat added

I voted hot because of the price. FYI it does fit the ipad 2 OK. On the ipad 2; The cut-outs for the buttons are in slightly the wrong place so they are difficult to press, there is no hole for the cameras and the ipad can slide out of the case if you aren't too carefull. The elastic strap keeps the case closed when you want it to be so the ipad can't slide out when the case is shut. The home button works through the case (by far the most important button) and the case will stop your ipad getting scratched up while it is in a bag. For those reason alone, it is worth a fiver. It's a no-brainer if you have the original ipad.

i bought this case when i say it posted a while ago. These cases are fantastic value for money and real leather.

Good value for money, am using mine at the moment, however, only been using it for a few weeks and its slightly lost its form, the ipad now slides out slightly from the case when it is open. Nevertheless, for a fiver you cannot go wrong!!! HOT

Also performs an adequate job as a landscape stand as well. Good for watching tv catchup when I'm doing the washing up :)

good price, now just got to find a reasonably priced ipad

wow, play.com is so slow, can't get it to load.

I ordered this. Its not that good.

Fiver is about right.

I ordered one a couple of weeks ago and this is a brilliant price for a good quality case (if you don't need a stand). HOT.

Thanks OP voted hot.

Terrible case, when you are using it there is no protection on the side where the ipad slips in, so if you tilt it left it slides out, you can probably make something yourself to make it secure but i just leave the iPad naked, if it does break then i will have an excuse to buy a new one.

I have purchased quite a few cases but i eventually get sick of them, there is no thin case available in the UK, there are a few in the US but the small companies that make them refuse to post world wide due to "bad business".

It's funny how companies spend millions making their devices smaller and light and then the buyer, who bought the device because it is smaller & lighter, goes and sticks it in a case which makes it bulkier and heavier...

Who bought an iPad 2 because it's was thinner and lighter then iPad 1? Or did you get buy it for those rubbish built-in cameras?

I put my iPad 1 in a sleeve when I ain't using it. When I am using it it's just got it's glass front and aluminium back to protect it. Which seems to be doing a pretty good job, which is after all what they were designed to do!

The ipad 2 is faster, thinner, lighter and has cameras for video calls. Your sleeve will probably not give as good protection as this and will probably cost as much. You will also have to remove the ipad from the sleeve whenever you want to use it. With this case, if you just want to check an email you can do it while it is in the case. I'll take the ipad out of the case if I am using it for an extended period of time.

What was the point of your post anyway? Did you want to make yourself feel better about your inferior device? :p

Just an update, I upgraded to an iPad 2 today. It was my intention to use this for the 2 until I got something else. It actually fits iPad 2 betters AND it DOES have the cutout for the forward facing camera (although not the rear)
