Got mine today. Seems genuine. Used it and works. Proper Belkin packaging and decent quality as you could expect from a Belkin product. Only thing I noticed was the light is green rather than blue, but that doesnt make much difference.

I reckon it's a knock off, stearing clear of cheap chargers, melted my ipod using one of those

Have been waiting for price change on belkin ones, voted hot, cheers!
#6
At that price you can gaurantee it'll be a fake.

If that's the actual piccy then that slot looks like a regular USB port not a micro USB sized port.

I too, previously bought a 'Belkin' regular USB Car Adaptor from an Amazon Seller (sorry can't recall which seller).

It was green lamp not blue and looked a little different to the picture.

Mine was definitely not a genuine Belkin and I very much doubt that this one will be.

It's not micro usb - it's a micro auto charger that provides a USB powered socket.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51EzjHTEsAL.jpg

i.e. you can charge any USB powered device in your car. Though without any amperage specs it's difficult to make a decision on the likes of iPads etc.
Very poorly worded advert based on what the device actually is.
#9
This states it's 1amp output but the only way I've managed to do this is to join the 2 centre pins of a USB cable together to get the required output
#10
They dont work in a CTR

I've had one of these for about an year now and it's amazing. Very good quality build.
#12
Thanks , ordered one, cant go wrong at that price
#13
Might be Fake
#14
Good price, bought one (not Belkin) at a pound shop and has worked fine for last year.

Edit to say that mine is standard USB as per pic, and not micro USB as mentioned in descitption

Yeah you have the same as me, its a copy of the Belkin, I got mine over a year ago from dealextreme, still works fine though.

You can buy similar ones in poundland

Didn't fit my car when I got it last time and clearly was fair that time

I bought one that was this price and it was fake got stuck in lighter then over heated!

the last time i went for one of these deals the seller never dispatched the item, then i left a neg rating, then they said remove it and we'll send one for real this time (after i got a refund) and oddly enough i never got that one either, derp.
#21
I bought one of these from Amazon and it was a Chinese fake, looks like the original but it clearly fake it you compare it with an original. I wouldn't trust a £1.99 fake with a £500+ phone
#22
£1.79 delivered on ebay and i charge iphone 5, 4s and ipad 4 on it fine.
#23
Get generic one in any good poundshop.
#24
Last time I bought one of these (claimed to be Belkin) it turned my iphone 4s' screen blue and then it turned off. No idea what happened but I won't be trying again. Certainly not risking hundreds of £ of phone on a cheap charger.
#26

If you read the negs the guy doesn't pay enough for the postage so often the customer is left forking out £1.16 at the door or at the depot to collect the item.. AVOID.

Each phone has a suggest min. power rating so check the original phone specs before jumping. Overpowering (ie. having too much amperage is fine as it only draws the current it needs) is fine but underpowering is dangerous to the item.

I ordered the other day. Arrived today and is good for iPhone.
#28
is this a genuine belkin or not?
#29
I have one of these and the light is green, not blue as shown in the picture. My one is an original Belkin.

Ordered ... thanks OP

I would warn you how many fakes of these are produced. I mean exactly this model. I've bought one in China myself (cost was about equivalent to 50p). I've bought counterfeit products from Amazon sellers before. They sell them on the genuine product page but actually send a fake and Amazon doesn't care at all as long as the seller accept returns but I had to pay return postage.

does this work with blackberrys (yeah i know blackberrys are **** but its my replacement phone for now lol) ?
#33
So can anyone who says they bought tell us what the amperage output is ? It should be stated somewhere on the product.
If it is not, clearly a fake,
#34
I bought 1 of these, not enough power to drive my satnav, overheated badly!!
#35
I brought one of these, there rubbish, really hard to get out once pluged in
#36
I'd you intend to charge an iPhone 5 or iPad 4th gen you need 2.1amp. Most of these are only 1 amp so only work with iPhone 4 or older.

Unless you pay more than £5 for these, they are definitely Counterfeit, I know as I purchased from here too, check the spelling on the packaging
