Not bad for £29.99. I brought mine for 19.99 from big boffers but it didnt come with usb wifi stick.
I was worried with the bad reviews (mostly to do with the wifi) but I havent had any problems.Setup was easy and it works fine on Be Broadband.

the title says modem router, but the description on play stated router only.

Anyone knows if this comprises modem + router? or is it just a router?

Its a modem+router

Never buying a belkin router again, they have soo many issues which mostly relate to limited or no connectivity available and connection keeps dropping after searching online i found that belkin have the most problems compared to other router manufactures. i contacted belkin several times they still havent been able to resolve my issue my standard talk talk router was even better and faster lol i would advise everyone to saty away it only works for the lucky ones! instead go for a netgear

This means that would won't need an extra modem yeah? I'm with virgin, any idea how to feed the input into this belkin as the wire is quite different

have you had any issues with it like the guy below stated? I've read around, and many point out that it's not straight forward but there's solution to the many problems it has. And when you got the setting rights, this thing is a beauty!

I havent had any issues with connectivity both on wifi and ethernet. I did need to get the settings to get it working on Be Broadband, The actual set up only took me only a few minutes

This is an ADSL (as stated in the online description)modem not suitable for Virgin if you are using their broadband via cable & not the standard phone line. (which the vast majority do)

Virgin are also an ADSL isp too, agree a majority will of course be VM customers on cable but there is the possibility of being on ADSL too

Not a bad price and all Belkin products come with a lifetime guarantee. Any problems and they usually just swap for new replacement or repair.

just wondering... on the play.com page it says its:
Digital Signaling Protocol: ADSL

does anyone know if this means it doesn't support ADSL2/ADSL2+ (which is the standard required for above 4mb broadband i thinkkk)
#14
Had this same router and paid around £70 for it about 12 months ago. My experience was similar to those mentioned in post no.4. I wouldn't buy another Belkin.

For Belkin, read Broken. Awful products, awful service.

I returned this router on advice from a telecoms engineer. He did several tests on my line, and compared some 'noise' figures (I dont know what exactly but he was looking for a reading between 35-50) the belkin gave a reading of 5-10 and a netgear modem was 35-40. Basically avoid the Belkin in my opinion

It definitely supports ADSL2/ADSL2+

You are bound to get at least £30 for this on ebay if you are not happy with it, the firmware fixes most of its initial problems

Anyone know if this can work as a wireless bridge?

(Got very thick walls in my house and need to boost the signal from front to back. Homeplug doesn't work well as rooms I want to connect are on different rings. Any other ways?)

Would this work for SKY Broadband?

I have a NETGEAR router that is farily old (4-5 years)

The max speed on wireless is 54 mbps.

I presume this will speed that up and also make a better connection for playing online on the PS3 and xBox ?

Thanks in advance

Should do...but Sky are very secretive about the login/password....you may need to google "Sky router login" to find out!
