I've got a question...

Is this:
"Belkin PRO Series - USB cable - 4 PIN USB Type A (M) - 4 PIN USB Type B (M) - 1.8 m ( USB / Hi-Speed USB )"
http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=A0511795

The same as this:
"Belkin PRO Series - USB cable - 4 PIN USB Type A (M) - 4 PIN USB Type B (M) - 3 m ( USB / Hi-Speed USB )"
http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&l=en&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&sku=A0511484

--> Besides the length obviously... because the pictures look different! I'm thinking for an extra 40p, why not have an extra meter but am not sure whether it is the same connector or not.

Yes both those cables are 'USB Type A' to 'USB Type B' connectors - standard type for PC to printer etc

Hi guys just to let you know this has EXPIRED, I had all my cables in my basket entered all my account details and on the last page I noticed the ammount had shot up into the £100's of pounds at the last second! I checked and they had all reverted to full price (I.E. 78p cables to £10) BEWARE THE DELL SCAM!!!! How many people did not see the normal size text of this new ammount on the very last page and paid full price. I have emailed a complaint to dell about this. Wasted hours on the site but I'm glad I spotted their dishonest system at the last second!

It worked for me, so they must have suddenly ended their discounts :(

I only order 1, if I'd ordered more then you would have been welcome to have it!
#18
Just got an e-mail saying that my credit card didn't process correctly....BS.

My details go through an extra security check that would not verify the transaction I had done anything wrong.

They don't even have the guts to admit they are canceling the order because of a misprice.

Did you pay by Maestro card?

Their 'saved card' details save yor card number, expiry date etc., but then default to 'Mastercard' - My last purchase from Dell failed for due to card.

Ordered a load at lunch time, had to place 3 orders as they tried to charge silly postage after a few items.

It seems like they have problems with mis-price etc all the time, not very good for the company image is it. It would not be the first time I have had an email saying "Im sorry we cancelled your order due to the product being listed as the wrong price, this is very rare etc etc etc" There are prob enough people on here to get the company on watchdog or something similar! lol (Can you tell I have had enough of dells silly website?) My laptop has been in "pre production for ten days too" seems as though they have problems just building the things! lol

Hi, the deal said that the reduced price only applied to up to 5 items per order. As I needed lots of things like USB cables, I sent in a handful of orders. I have had confirmation emails on all of them. Incidentally, it's not worth getting hot under the collar and saying that Dell are scamming people. Admit it; you were trying to scam Dell!
In fact, even the reduced prices were not that fantastic. I bought some Belkin USB extension cables for £1.15. Ebuyer are selling the same for £1.59. I bought a cheap headset for £2, which is certainly not worth more. These were only really bargains in relation to Dell's usual prices.

How many cables did you think I was ordering lol

I think its a scam how a website is coded in such a way it tells you that an item is 78pence untill after you enter your personal details, delivery, payment etc and then the very last page as the real ammount displayed in a small font which is ten times as much as it has been advertised as.

Just imagine if someone who was not so confident with online purchases tried to buy something, they may have only realised on a bank statement.

Its like walking into a shop, seeing a network cable for 78pence with a price sticker on it and an A1 sign saying "All cables 78p" you put it in your basket go to the till, they scan it on the till, the reader says 78p, they put it in a bag for you, they say that will be 78p sir, you hand over your card and the sales person mutters under their breath "Your card will be charged £10" Because thats what happened to me, on the internet, with dell, yesterday!

I placed an order at 9pm on Tues for a couple of cables (cost £8.73) and they got delivered today. Excellent price and service!! Heat and rep left.

It seems that Dell are "delaying" my order on the confirmation page, as in their original email confirmation thingy it said an "estimated" delivery date of 17/01/2008. Anyone else got this?

Estimated Delivery Date: 07/02/2008 (!!!)

At a good price, can't complain too much I guess. ;-)
