#15
chance of us actually getting this anyone?
#16
Bucket of cold water time !!!!!!!

I have two of the bigger versions (PF40's) in my home AV system, so hopefully know a bit about these. The PF40's are great btw !

Before you all get your hopes up, these are not the UK model (AP20500UK3M) at Dell but are the European model (AP20500EA3M). I know from experience, as ordered two about three months ago and had to send them back.

So, unless you all want to have to start cutting off your 3-pin plugs and replacing them with 2-pin European plugs, you won't be able to use them......unless you go out and buy loads of adaptors of course !

Sorry
#17
ordered one too. Hope they honour it.
#18
Stupid question, but how does all your equipment connect to this?
#19
Been duped in to misprices so many times now. They need to be banned from here. Come on lets be honest who here has received anything mispriced before?

They have 5 sockets in the back where the various plugs from your equipment plug into. The PF30 then has a single power cable running to the electricity socket in your wall to power everything that is plugged into it.

But, as I said above, the 5 sockets in the back of the PF30 are all 2-pin European style sockets, so not much use really.

Vindaloo, just hope it turns up now:thumbsup:

#25

lol its just a very expensive surge protector. Reduces electrical noise and smooths out the signal giving you better image and sound quality, also protects equipment from power surges.
#27
Spank you.
#28
coolio :-)
#29
do they really work thou?

oh the adapters are cheap anyhow
#30
Looking at the manual, it looks like 3 pin plug sockets on the rear, could be mistaken.

Thanks for the info. Have you noticed any performance improvements in the devices attached to this compared to a standard surge protected power strip?

Also would this help prevent buzzing from things like internal power supplies and backlights in LCD screens?
#32
wont just buying a decent amp and decent cables solve the buzzing issue
like an onkyo 605 amp and chord or qed cables
prob better than a surge protector socket i guess

I have received quite a few mispriced items, most recently was the avon C**k up, always worth a punt :w00t:

Just gonna add my 2 cents...

I'm gonna have to agree with The Generals comments on this being the Euro one and not the UK one.

The reasons are as follows:

1: It distinctly says "5 output connectors" and as we can see from the manual the UK model seems to have 8.
2: From doing a quick search on the interweb we can see that the Euro one has "5 output connectors" http://www.computeruniverse.net/products/e90182708/d6/accessories/belkin-pureav-power-console-pf30.asp
3: The link takes you to Dell Europe not the .co.uk site.

So all of the above leads me to believe that this is definitely not the uk model. I would like to be proven wrong, but somehow i dont think i will be. Its still a good deal if you dont mind buying a load of adapters.

ps Go easy on me its my first post :-D
#35
this is off the uk arm of dell so i cant see it being 2 pin plug sockets if you ordered from europe then you would expect them but its not . Just checked the model numbers and it looks like it is the euro version we will have to wait and see
#36
Wow - Im impressed - no one has bragged about buying 50 yet! Must be 2008...
#38
super hot deal! Lets hope the honour it!

just spotted this on US site. 57% off. Maybe they are dumping this model;

I am not complaining though

P.S - I presume its silver but really want black. I dont see colour mentioned?
#39
In my experience dell are definatley not givers of miss priced stuff.. but have ordered just in case super bonus if it is the euro model they are sellin off cos am livin in spain....Result...
#40
Do you just plug your plugs (no need for adapaters?) into the back of it then?

so for example hdtv, ps3 and hd freeview box?

bit confused about the benefit of it?
