I bought this at lunchtime today in Lincoln High Street Currys store, only reason i posted it is beacuse an identical (as far as i could tell) belkin cable in newer packaging was on the self next to it at 14.99. They must be clearing out the ones with old packaging . .

Not voted due to misleading title. Just a nornal earphone/headphone to stereo lead
#3
Sorry didnt mean to mislead, only described the item,

It is a headphone to stereo lead, but a good one for cheap

Not debating the deal pal.

You got a receipt pic? as I know that the receipt brigade will be voting this cold without any proof
#5
Good price, i recently got mine from HMV for £5 down from £10.

Hot for me
#6
No sorry no picture of recipt. The woman who served me went and confirmed with her supervisor it wasn't a misprice before she'd sell me it
#7
How long is the cable? Might also be useful for people to connect a laptop to a hi-fi.
#8
great price,heat added.
#9
got an SKU code? its a 6 digit number next to or just below the item on the reciept..
#10
for ipod? it's for anything with a 3.5 jack plug

That is a good price. I already have a standard lead which works fine but you cannot underestimate the sonic importance of a good quality connection. Personally I can't find anywhere online that provides a good quality phono to 3.5mm jack lead for less money. I also understood exactly what you meant in your title.

As an aside: There is always somebody on this forum who is ready to pick holes in the informative and well meaning post of a fellow member. It seems to have become a way of life, with posters of limited experience apologising and saying "Be gentle with me" ... so fearful for the wrath of the snaps and rage of their apparent seniors on the board. Maybe if a deal has been posted previously or has been inadequately researched then the wrath could be considered as justified - if delivered in the right manner, this is after all a public site where the opinion of everyone is welcomed. However (after reading many posts) this agression seems to have become a way of life on here. I personally believe that the moderators should step in to regulate what I see as the the maltreatment of new posters. What is this adding to the value of the deals posted on the board - surely its disencouraging any new posters? I believe that the actions of a sunstancial-minority can be easily compared to the, usually mild mannered people who become gesticulating, aggressive and crazed road ragers when they get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. IMHO it is absurd to accept this in society. Can I ask these people (and you know who you are) to please get a grip on reality, appreciate that nobody posts on here in anything other than good faith and appreciate what is important in life!

Thanks for your post Floodingman, I for one, really appreciate it

The picture clearly shows what the item is - the OP obviously posted it with iPods in mind and it would be perfect for connecting your ipod dock/Ipod to a stereo. Alright you can use for lots of audio sources but that's by-the-by.

Good post, I'll have a gander tomorrow.

let me check this one..

Nice post mate , thanks for sharing it .

As for the doom & gloom merchants , well , ignore them for what they are , idiots .

Cheers

Balderdash.

Correction: as you wrote it, I agree entirely... because I think you meant to say "overestimate" :)

Great wee cable by the looks of it. Shame it won't work with iphone or ipod touch but great find for any other ipod.

The voice of dissent is good for countering “vested interests”, whatsoever/whomsoever that may be. The item described as a bargain is merely a 3.5mm [mini] stereo jack to RCA phono plugs which, on any good or bad day, in any large town and above within the country, can be obtained for the proverbial “two-a-penny”. Now, had an iPod connector, because it is proprietary and therefore costs an arm & two legs, be included in the deal, the Belkin “yawning” price would be understandable by both fashionites and normal humans but not when it was originally a mere attempt at rip-off/compulsive-buying.

This sort of comment is not an attempt at airy-fairy-ing or to denigrate posters. Afterall, information is mere innocence and is neutral – an ant telling me that I am a buffoon has no meaning and the same goes for mere words. Whether the mods like it or not [or are able to evaluate the situation “accordingly”], sites like these serve two main functions; to highlight value-cum-bargains and to also enlighten and alert those with a sense of learning, what they are actually doing as opposed to blindly buying for the sake of buying which is an addiction. [Oh “Yes” it is]. Everything that we do has a meaning if we put our attention/grace onto it or else it becomes an indifference/addiction. Parallel-tasking grooms humans for addictions/excitements, not enjoyment/satisfaction/peace/love.

It clearly says, "1 x mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm - male"

You telling me the iPhone and iPod Touch don't have headphone sockets?? Did you even read the post??
This annoys me in particular as other misinformed people might vote this cold based on your post, which is very unfair for the OP! :x

The iphone 2g has a recessed headphone socket, so in theory this won't work without an adaptor of some kind...

This is worth repeating!

By the way, many digital cameras have a 3.5mm stereo socket for audio and video output. The lead that comes for this, even if the phono plugs are black and yellow or other such unorthodox colours, will work just as well as this one.

HEAR HEAR,Couldn't agree more. The people you're talking about would not relish being brought to task over errors they would make in fields where they are not expert. The last thing any forum requires is for posters to be put off for fear of incurring the ridicule of such as these.

About the first or the second paragraph? The second paragraph is sensible, but whatever it says doesn't make the first any less balderdash. :p
