Bought a couple of these because such a great deal!

BELKIN PROFESSIONAL SURGE PROTECTOR 4-Socket with Telephone/Modem Protection

Protect and insure your equipment from lighting and other electrical / power disturbances!

Power surges and lightning strikes are not the only things that can damage your home electronic equipment. Simply switching appliances on and off can create electrical imbalances that cause cumulative, permanent damage to your computers, peripherals and electronic equipment.

This model offers 1034 Joules, 19,500 Maximum Spike Amperage, 4-sockets, Telephone/FAX/Modem/DSL protection and heavy duty 2-metre power cable.

Also this model comes with £50,000 Connected Equipment Warranty and our standard Lifetime Product Warranty.

PCWORLD Price: £23.98 inc del.

Features :
1034 Joule energy rating provides standard protection for your basic electronic devices
Lifetime £50,000 Connected Equipment Warranty to insure protection for your connected equipment and give you peace of mind
4 Surge-protected sockets
Also can protect Telephone/FAX/modem/DSL/broadband lines (2 x phone ports)
The Spoiler Cable System for easy and clutter free cable management
BlockSpace Sockets provide room for large, AC adapter blocks, without covering an unused socket
Power switch integrates a 13-Amp circuit breaker with power source
Safety Shutters help to protect users and their children; safety shutters over live and neutral ports
Lifetime Product Warranty + FREE 1.8m Telephone cable

Perfect for:

Entry level personal computers
Laptops/notebooks
Telephone/FAX/modem/DSL/broadband lines
Household electronics and more..

Grab yourself a bargain!

The price has gone up to £9.02 + PP (+ VAT on both) each now so the 5-socket surge protector is much better value now (thanks MattC).

Damn good deal - pity about the P+P... Though it's a fantastic buy if you were already thinking of getting something from eBuyer. May have a think about the 8-Way Belkin... I have a cheap 8 way one just now so replacing it with a Belkin sounds like a good idea!
#15

3 Working days is the cheapest/fastest delivery option
#17
cheers for this, ordered 2 of the 8 socket ones with 3day delivery bringing it to £25. I was going to buy one of these recently off overclockers and they are £19.68 inc VAT each :D
#18
I clicked on 'pay with paypal' and then submit order and the order went through and i received a confirmation page without paypal popping up as it usually happens when you pay with it. I don't know whether i have paid for the item or not.

Did anyone else have this problem as well?

Come to think of it, why am I on here watching people buying surge protectors, weather stations, coin counters...

We need to make some serious New Years Resolutions folks.

Whilst consulting my diary for last occurence of 'power surge' (never) I was reminded of the the things that really annoy me....
Total lack of power.
Power that vanishes for a for a milli-second.
A UPS cures both of those and some of them have the 'magic' surge protection as well.
The most likely 'surge' we will get is a direct lightning strike and a one pence coin sized semiconductor is going to wave a white flag & surrender.
I'd wager that no-one has ever got the 50K 'surge' payout either.
