Thought you needed to keep your wii on to charge your handsets even in standby ?

I just plug mine into the back of my sky+ hd box

there are three states:-

red light - standby (hold power in)
orange light - standby but charges(gently press and release power button)
green light - on

when you get re-chargeable batteries for them they will:thumbsup:

any handset , be it ps3, xbox360, mobile etc, can be charged whereever you plug in usb. (laptop, ps3, etc.) doesn't have to be wii...also the poundland one's are okay unless you want to pay over 500% for a brand name and guarantee you''ll never use...

also need a silicon case for my iphone and where doing them buy on get one free the other week will see if they stil are
edit... also no problem being usb 1.1 as my sony pc is anyway use laptop most of the time

I think you have to buy another accessory for it then plug that into this.

Poundland ones do not come with a psu, so you are going to struggle to charge 4 Wii remotes at the same time sharing the juice from one usb port.

you buy rechargable power packs for a few quid, they all charge via USB
below is an example from play.com but you can get them alot cheaper from ebay!

Right - I believe there are 2 types - as follows:-

1. Batteries you buy complete with a charging dock, where the wiimote rests on the dock. This will have 1 x standard USB lead.

2. Individual batteries which come with their own standard USB lead. So if you had 2 of these you would have 2 leads, 3 then 3 leads and so on.

I have both the above. 1 of the dock style for 2 of my wiimotes and 2 of the other, so in my case I use 3 USB ports and use the other for my iPod touch.

Hope this helps.

I've seen one of these and it's HUGE and UGLY.

7dayshop has a much smaller one for 50p more - worth considering.

doesn't have a long cable though - but good find:thumbsup:

Careful.

Might not be a Belkin.

7Dayshop starting to get a bit of a rep for sending out 'unbranded' goods even though product listing says another.

I managed to get a similar item which was usb 2.0 for my wii, works wonders and it was cheaper then this..

I have had all sorts plugged into my wii over the years including usb glitter lambs, usb fans and even a usb cannon.

Yes, they do sell Belkin hubs oddly.
#24
I saw this this a few weeks ago , didn't post cos couldn't believe anyone would want a USB 1 hub ( I assume it is ) , I guess it's ok for charging phones etc.

7 day shop are becoming naughty in some of their product descriptions , leaving out vital info. like flash cards which are sent out without the retail packaging .
#25
If this is a USB 2 hub, then it's a good deal as Belkin is a quality brand, but I do not see any mention of that. I would recommend paying a little extra and get a usb 2 hub, there is a big difference in transfer speeds.
