Went to Tesco HomePlus in Southampton to pick up the heat-worthy Microsoft Wedge keyboard deal (still plenty in stock) and spotted these.

Didn't buy any myself as I don't really have a need for them but they look to be a bit of a bargain as they start at about £40 elsewhere (e.g. John Lewis, £39.95). Also even better than the recent deal from Belkin themselves, in my opinion as I'd rather save another £17 and miss out on a window sticker and t-shirt, but I appreciate not everyone is the same!

Can only assume national, like the keyboard as there were a bunch of deals in the same area, but unless they've been cleared out in the last hour or so they're definitely this price and in stock in Southampton!

Plug into a socket, plug your device in, then control from a smartphone app. Useful for turning stuff on when on holiday to make it look is if you're at home, resetting gadgets with awkward to reach plugs, etc.

Been using one with IFTTT app and it's been awesome - set all my lights to come on when coming back to a house (using the iPhone location).

got these from Tesco in Lakeside, Essex. Marked up as £55 but scanned at £13!! Heat from me!! :-)
#15
Heads up:Your Android phone/tablet needs to be v4.0 or higher to operate this.
#16

or you can use IFTTT on your phone to do this, so long as your home wifi is connected... although I don't know whether the IFTTT app needs 4.0+.

OOS at Stockport :( I've wanted these for ages but came justify the £40ish cost per plug. £13 is an absolute bargain.

#25

2 left in Kingston Park... just bought the 3rd! thanks op. will these affect a pass through homeplug? Would be handy to put it on my slingbox /sky box for remote restarts if one decides to freeze...
#27
None in Barnsley Stairfoot either.
#28
I assume this will only work on whatever device is plugged into and not necessarily everything on the main ring?
#29
Only a matter of time before the whole house can be smart wired so that you can control each individual outlet remotely.

Even these things will start to become popular, but I also think they will eventually build in Ethernet ports

Won't affect a home plug, I have my wemo plugged into the wall then a power line adapter connected to it with my tv and youview box and a extension lead for my iPhone charger works a treat!
#32
Please PM if anyone like to buy one/some for me :) Thanks!
#33
Anyone know of any in liverpool??
#34
none in Brent park London

Nice but expensive (over a standard socket).

Will look forward to them becoming cheaper in time (by which time they'll probably be out-dated).

Also work great with Control4

Silly question, what are people using this for?

Heat though, great price. Keep getting tempted to buy but I have no use for it at the moment. I think I will resist ha.

Those can be had for cheaper else where, very popular in modern homes so I'm told. Know an electrician who reckons they're popular demand & trade get the extremely cheaper.
