Price ends 30th June, Looks like a reasonable starter set-up for a wireless network on cable/DSL

"Belkin Wireless G USB Desktop/Notebook 4-port switch Network Kit Wireless Router

Overview

The Belkin 802.11g Wireless Cable/DSL Gateway Router lets users share files and a broadband Internet connection among their computers-without using networking cables. It features 802.11g technology that makes accessing files and networked peripherals-such as hard drives, printers, CD-ROMs, and DVDs-easier than ever. 802.11g technology provides you with networking speeds nearly five times faster than the current Wi-Fi (802.11b) standard. An integrated, 4-port 10/100Base-T Ethernet switch also allows you to connect wired computers to the network. The Wireless G USB Network Adaptor by Belkin easily connects your USB-equipped desktop or notebook computer to your wireless network for Internet and file sharing. Desktop users can now join the network with the ease of a USB plug-in, without opening their PC cases; laptop users can enjoy the benefits of staying mobile - while connected to the Internet.

Nothing a firmware update won't fix though.

big deal... if you've got someone capable to hacking your wifi point, you really want to worry anyway. They'll get in one way or another.
Routers arent the be all and end all of network security.

It'll have WPA2. The stats can't be up to date on the spec.

Can't comment on this specific one but I've had belkin routers before and the instructions are usually fairly easy to follow (if you need them) there's always google to help you out if you get stuck.....

A good WPA password will take millions of years to hack. A WEP encrypted router is easy for script kiddies to hack and use your internet to look at dodgy things and download pirated stuff.
