£5.99 + £4.95 p&p tot = £10.94

It's £17.99 at PC World.

Argos is a great price.

I got this from play.com for this price minus quidco last year. Price has gone up now I think.
It is a good stick. The first one I had was for a fiver, thats cos I had a free twenty quid voucher from currys.
#13
mixed reviews at ebuyer http://www.ebuyer.com/product/75646/show_product_reviews but ordered one anyway as its argos so easy to return if a pile o tat

Sweet deal have some heat
#15
That's a great price!

Good for any older laptops without wireless and for desktops for those who don't want to open it up and install PCI cards.
#16
We have this and use it with a netgear router if that helps anyone and it works fine:thumbsup:

I got one of these (may have been updated slightly) a couple of years ago and I don't rate it. The software is **** and the dongle had a nasty habit of disappearing from the PC, needing a reboot for it to be picked up again...

agreed. I would never buy another belkin wireless dongle.

Had about 3 as they kept replacing them but the network just kept disappearing. Apparently, there's an overheating problem which can be solved by drilling holes in the plastic case.

Avoid, if you ask me.

Decent price though.

These are not that great. OK I guess for £9.99.
#20
Excellent price, you won't find it cheaper!

£17.99 at PC World, providing you have an Argos 30 miles from your store you'll get it for £9.19 if your price-match.

(although really only useful if your nearest PC World is nearer than Argos!)

Looks good, voted hot.

I bought one of these a couple of years ago and it was very flaky. Especially when trying to get Premiership matches on the internet on a Saturday afternoon. By the time I got it working it was half time.

Mine's now packed up altogether. Badly made, the usb port is badly soldered to the circuit board on mine at an angle meaning that when you unplug it from the back of your laptop it stresses the solder joints.

No Linux drivers either last time I looked.

Good Price and voted hot

But one thing I would say with this adapter if it starts to disconnect from the usb port (no power signal) return it as soon as possible as it is probably faulty. Mine died on me the other day after a year and a half. Hopefully this was just a duff one, but it did keep failing intermittently for ages.

These work well when they are going though and for a tenner it is worth a try.

To add my voice to the bad reviews above, I've had two of these as well (when they were around £13 at PC world last year) - both hopeless. As mentioned above, bad software, no Vista drivers at least at the time, and connection dropouts all the time on every PC I used them on (XP or Vista). If you need one for regular use--and value your sanity--you might be better off spending a few quid on something else!
#26
Just bought one, looks good. Does anyone know how far my desktop can be placed from my router whilst using it?

Mine was working with the router upstairs and the pc downstairs ( 2 bars signal) so the range is quite good.

No you have to buy the official dongle or connect a wireless gateway via ethernet.

Think i've got a v2uk had it 3+years has always worked flawlessly.
#34
Avoid this like the plague it's a sack of *****, had no end of trouble with mine. Amazon.com reviews show it up for how bad it is as well.

if you're not going to avoid it, at least avoid installing the belkin software, just put the driver on and nothing else. had no end of problems with this and a belkin router, just about works with a netgear router though!

the sweex one for 9.99 at play.com is far better!
#35
not very practical ... and its fugly.
