Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream - All flavours £1.99

Was in ASDA tonight stocking up on water and tuna for a nightshift (diets blow!) and noticed that the Ben & Jerry's selection were down to a jaw dropping - and waist extending - £1.99 per tub.

Anyone familiar with this will know it's incredible taste is only surpassed by it's ridiculous over pricing. I think it's normally pushing upwards of £3.75 depending where you look.

The other bonus was it was unrestricted and open to all flavours although as usual when an offer is on the Caramel Chew Chew and Phish Food seemed to be taking a big hit. Have some calories and think of me whilst i stick a needle in a voodle doll like effigy of Dr. Atkins.

it's £2.00 at the sheffield one (every penny counts lol), and has been for about two weeks.. mmmmmmm, half baked :w00t:

It's still expensive at £2 IMO.

Not only that, I really don't rate it myself.

Can anyone here seriously say it's worth £3+ honestly?

When you buy it at its actual retail price its one of them things you buy once every so often to treat yourself. Not something you buy just to have, like a freddo or mars bar.

everyone is entitled to their opinion, but i think i can safely say you are in the minority! i'll quite happily shell out the RRP if i'm treating the missus, but at £2 we've found ourselves buying it a bit too frequently lol..

i never understand why people spell things incorrectly on forums.. i mean, you're on the internet - the single biggest resource in the world.. how hard can it be to look up a word?? lol

(not having a dig, i only mentioned it because you brought up the point about spelling :p )

Only when the power of the herb has taken over the wallet :whistling:

I do agree it's expensive and i always thought they should price it below Haggen Daas as it's the only real competition it has.

Nothing like a BJ eh? So tasty is it? Please keep it clean...this is a family forum :p

The Dr. Atkins diet is not sustainable. After you give up on the diet, you will pile on the weight, and more than you had before. Whole study on the unsustainability of diets, and albeit the temporary weight loss, still not justified by the added weight you put on afterwards.

Buy your Ice Cream, throw the Tuna away.

got myself a couple of these today :P

But mmmm, half-baked..... :)

lol, just an abbreviation for Ben and Jerry's :whistling:

I could be wrong - but I'm sure my wife noticed this recently and told me that it was a permament roll back price i.e. £2 is the price now and it won't be going back up.
#31
I'd be very surprised if that happened Matt, going to be earlier they have the gourmet ice cream market pretty much neck and neck with Haggen D, as long as they are expensive they won't need to undercut by that much.

Yum yum!!! my asda in Cornwall has many ben and jerrys looook perhaps these will reduce down from £2 to less?? as for now my belly aches to much cookie doe :?
#33
just a note that at mine there £2 and not £1.99 as the thread suggests. missleading if you ask me :giggle: 'every penny counts'
#34
B&J's is nice but personally I prefer Haagen Dazs. Voted HOT though.

Incidentally in France the RRP for Haagen Dazs is usually about £2 without any discounts. We get ripped in this country.

 I never understand why people like you use a lowercase dotted i incorrectly. You're on the Internet, the biggest resource in the world. How hard can it be to see that using i as the first-person singular pronoun is incorrect and an uppercase I is correct? LOL

So what if some can't spell all of their words correctly. At least harvie316 recognises this.

Your grammar also needs serious attention!

I'm not having a dig as I only mention this because you brought up the point about spelling :p
