there were none in stock at my local tesco, were they instock at your tesco?
#3
This is a better deal than Farmfoods as they only had the appie pie (yuk) flavour, Tesco stock all flavours (until the pulic buy all these at this great price).
#4
Picked up a couple of tubs from Tesco last week, great price :)
#5
they only had cookie dough, phish food & cherry garcia left in exeter last night. i bought 4 tubs!
#6

Well done on the post

Absolutely no offence to the OP but I have voted cold simply because supermarkets have dozens of special offers, half-price, BOGOF, 3 for price of 2 etc. on foodstuffs all the time and personally I think HUKD main page will become very busy indeed if we have those deals making it.

For example yesterday I got Bernard Mathews sliced chicken for 1/2 price at Sainsburys and someone at work told me Morrisons selling 12 packs of Quavers and other crisps BOGOF. I bet they are only 2 of dozens of supermarket food deals Nationwide.

So like I said no offence to the OP, just saying why I have voted cold because I'm forever reading posts about people asking others to explain why they voted cold :)

Saw these the other day, only had cookie doh.

Voted cold... wouldn't want my ice cream to melt :giggle:
#14
most of the special offers you mentioned are usually everyday essential food items. ben & jerry's is a luxury food item normally selling for a luxury price aproaching £4! so i thought it was worth sharing this bargain so we can all indulge a little.

I posted this on the only other (at the time, supermarket thread).....

Take a look at the first page of this Hot Deals forum & then come back & post how many supermarket deals there are?!?!?
GENERALLY speaking people have enough common sense over what 2 for 1/multibuy offers they post that 'chaos' doesn't reign supreme & only post multibuy deals that they genuinely feel are pretty hot.
It's all down to taste as several members have said they have no interest in gaming yet there are countless games posts with no seperate forum or thread.
The simplest option is to filter out & ignore threads that are "supermarket offers" if this bugs you.......

Yeah supermarkets have all these deals, but so do all the DVD & game stores that take up a ton of space on these pages when people decide to post EVERY title in a sale!!!

Caramel Chew!!! Yum yum yum

BTW I'm confused - Why are people voting this hot when Ben and Jerry's is best served cold??? ;)

LoL with my hands?? oh wait the car park has free spoons!

Had the deal some days ago. I have now gained an extra kilo of weight on my left butt cheek...
#23
ASDA are doing these at £2.00 too, only 11p more, so try there is tesco out.
#24
I can't believe people pay nearly £8 / litre normally for this ice cream. At this 'half price' £4 / litre it is still expensive and I'm sure Unilever are making a good margin at 'half price'.

How come it's £1.96 in my local tesco metro? I just bought it anyway.....only has the Cherry Garcia flavour. I wouldn't have bought it if it's £4....ehehe, so thanks OP!
#29
Voted hot as I was alerted about half price, though they only had 3 flavours online. Got a couple with our shopping, thanks a lot.

What is phish food like? I loads of them but fear they may be too sickly for me like those well known donuts I can't remember the name of.
#33
One thing to watch out for which tesco are notorious for is already defrosted ice cream, once it is defrosted and refrozen you get the really icy crappy taste. To avoid this turn the pot upside down and look round the rim of the pot to see if melted ice cream has made its way there, if this has happened its basically useless or it won't taste as good.
#34
I heard its made by convicts but I still love the stuff, the low fat yogurts ones are well nice.
#35
If its been melted its ruined, straight from the horses mouth.

It is GOOOD

It's really sickly though, made from Chocolate Ice Cream, with Marshmallow, Caramel Sauce and Dark Chocolate Fishies :whistling:

The good thing about this flavour though is that the Caramel and Marshmallow stop the Ice Cream going rock hard, and making your spoon bend straight from a Home freezer :giggle: Stays nice and spoonable! Never found this with any other Ice Cream, unless you eat it straight out of a Shop Freezer or it's Fresh Home Made

Doughnuts = Krispy Kreme Doughnuts? Yuck can't stand 'em
#38
Yummmmmmmmy, thanks for this

"icy crappy taste" are you sure it wasn't haagen dazs!

Why vote cold because the deal came from a supermarket promotion? That's just silly. Most deals are promotions. As long as it's a deal, it belongs here. HotUKDeals, the clue is in the name.
