Ben + Jerrys Ice Cream - 2 for £2.00 at Farmfoods

Quite remarkable really. This stuff should be made illegal. Never seen it for less than £3.50 per tub over here but Farm Foods are punting it for £1.79 a tub or a jaw dropping and waist line bulging two tubs for two pounds.

(My keyboard is acting the hard man and my language settings are all wrong so the dollar signs should represent pounds sterling).

In-store only, fill yer boots ! Woohoo.

They have been that price for ages, don't expect the good flavours though, my local only has the rank apple one.
#6
Any idea how long this is running for?
#7
Updated the pound signs :p

Thanks Emma!

I should have mentioned the flavours as well, there were seemingly a life-time supply of 'Oh My Apple Pie' ones but i did some digging with the cold bare hands and found some Dublin Mudslide and Phish Food hiding at the bottom. w00t

Also!! OREO cookies at 60p a packet. Insanity !!

Probably not any time soon, as pinkleponkle says it is a long running offer, I've have been occasionally visiting Farmfoods for about a year and I have always seen it at this price.
As others have said don't expect a full range, our store seems to have a lot of the "Oh My! Apple Pie" one too, I think Farmfoods must be the graveyard when flavours stop being sold in the supermarkets or they just receive overstock or something.

You get unbelievable prices at Farmfoods, and name brands too. If you can get over the snobbery you will visit tima and again. They are the cheapest food store there is.
#11
it's usually ice cream near its 'use by' date they get.

I've not had the "Oh My! Apple Pie", so worth a try.

Looks like a ten mile round trip could be on the cards...

Doubt it will last long at home anyway, so not really a problem.

Same at mine :-(

Mii never heard of Apple ice cream but I think I'll pass.

Normal strawberry ice cream seems to have vanished in stores near me :-(

Not true at all, that's the biggest myth going about farmfoods.

They have loads of excellent deals on ice cream (as well as other stuff). The last ice cream I got was walls tubs, they had chocolate, banofee pie, and lemon meringue and it was any 2 tubs for £1.

Put it this way if you like shopping in Iceland give them a whirl and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Hi folks

Only just registered and this is my first post. I work at Farmfoods to help with the student lifestyle costs (books and materials of course) and thought id let you know that they only have the Oh My Apple Pie variety. Personally i think its horrible, but it sells well. They put the price up last week, before which you could just buy 1 tub for £1.

Also, they don't only stock the variety's which supermarkets don't - about 4 month ago our store had the Cherry Garcia one in which is really nice, but we stopped that one now.

Apple pie & ice cream is lovely, so am sure apple pie ice cream would be too!!
But where on earth is farm Foods? never heard if it :-(

Guess where I will be visiting over the weekend?........:whistling:

Welcome to HUKD alwaysonform :-D
#24
Used to have a local one, but it burnt down!
#25
Only the apple pie one here - loads of it, but it's the only B&J flavour I've ever tasted which I wouldn't buy again. Nothing particular wrong with it - just boring.

Farmfoods normally only sell discontinued B&J flavours - I'm not really surprised they dropped this one.

Thanks anyway for the posting.
#26
I too have previously had B&J's ice cream from Farmfoods for 99p a tub.

I also got the two tubs of walls for £1 too - bargain!!
#27
We do all our frozen food shopping at farmfoods now, also get bread (2 kingsmill loaves for £1.30) and milk which is a lot cheaper as well. We're saving an absolute fortune compared to what we used to spend in Tescos, honestly £50 at farmfoods goes a long long way!
#28
you're all gonna be fatties :-)
#29
Told my Fiancee about this and then didn't see her for dust. She loves B&J's ice cream, but hasn't tried the Apple Pie one...so she's gonna give it a go...she's such a little soldier honestly. :giggle: She managed to get a couple of tubs from the Dewsbury store, so thanks for this head up.
