Bench is a British born, urban lifestyle brand which designs, sources and markets cool and distinctive products, built on the individuality of real people. Bought one of these before Xmas for £14.99 and thought that was a good price. Are good tops and my kids love them, but mainly for use in summer. Hot though.

It's not the fact that it's a chav brand, But its mostly the chavs who wear it, hence its chav wear :)

No Bench used to be as highly regarded as G Star is now.

G - Star / Franklin Marshall / Diesel to name a few are fairly highly regarded, and not chavy.

what ARE the highly regarded brands then?

Lyle and Scott, Ralph Lauren, Stone Island imo - but I wouldn't sneer at any brands

I got this cheap before Christmas and it's horrible. The material feels awful and it looks disgusting. Nothing like the picture. Very 80s and shiny navy. I would strongly advise not to buy and it's not worth 14.99. Avoid peeps. Pay the extra ten pounds for better quality.

i agree G-Star is chavvy.

i just got this one for my cousin as a late christmas present. if he wont like it, he can wear it at home or when working in the garage for such price ;)

it does not look too bad as the Bench logos are not too big. i hate big logos. it makes an item look cheap or even fake!

Lyle and Scott is becoming a bit chavy to be honest. But still good. I dont what Mike39496 is saying about G Star, it has always been a quality brand.

Anything sold in USC is chavy.

what about Superdry?

what about Superdry?

I approve of Superdry, unless the person wearing it owns far too much of it i.e Coat, T-Shirts, Jeans, Hoodie.

Bought one for teenage son before christmas and he loves it.. it looks nice IMO. Buy a size up as advised.. I bought him a large and he's no way a large normally (normal Medium).

Stone Island = the brand of choice for football hooligans - therefore v. chavvy.
